  1. 1. Activate the text tool 2. Hold down the Alt key and type these four numbers 0 1 6 9 3. Release the Alt key The code for the R symbol is 0174.
  2. Hello H123ghayet - welcome to the forum. This is a very old topic, so I'll be closing it after this answer. In future, please just start a new topic if you wish to initiate discussion on an old topic. The Paint.NET documentation is made available for free and you are welcome to use it online. Downloading for offline storage was never the intent of the developer - so you're pretty much on your own trying to achieve this. There are a number of other products which might help you (WebZip). I'd recommend you try one of those. I am the author of the ebook "Mastering Paint.NET 3.5.10" which you might find interesting if you are unable to create a working copy of the online documentation. There is a link in my signature below. <closed>
  3. You shouldn't need to. Just make sure that the *.dll files are placed in the Paint.NET/Effects folder and restart Paint.NET. The plugins should show up in the menus as listed in the first post (like Effects > Color, or Effects > Artistic, etc...,)
  4. The Line/Curve tool has an option to use a dashed line. Activate the tool and you will find this option in the Tool Bar. By using several dashed lines with an appropriate line thickness you should be able to give a passable hand sewn effect to your object. It would be a good idea to place the 'stitching' on it's own, brand new layer, rather than placing it directly onto the layer holding the image.
  5. PNG is a single layer format. This means you have to flatten a multi-layered image when saving and lose the layer structure. If you need to edit the image later, it will be more difficult because the image is flattened. I'd always save copy of a multi-layered image as a PDN prior to saving as a PNG. Just to be sure!
  6. @dpy has created a number of text plugins (Rotate, Spiral, Wave & Circle...,). You may have to use a combination of these to adjust your text to a specific path. Find these plugins in this pack: Dpy's Plugin Pack
  7. ^ That's great to hear. A lot of users make the mistake of trying to download every plugin. It's unnecessary and slows down the load time for Paint.NET. E.g. I once wrote a plugin for creating chess diagrams. Unless you are a chess nerd (like me) you probably won't ever use that plugin. So why ask Paint.NET to load it every time it starts? Just download (from here) those plugins and author packs that you actually use and need for your images.
  8. I use the layer name to record details like Font, size, colors etc...,
  9. You've just learned a valuable lesson: NEVER download or install any plugin or plugin pack from ANYWHERE but this forum. You've found that re-installing Paint.NET does not erase the existing Effects. This is as it should be. Imagine the uproar if installing a new version of Paint.NET wiped your collection of plugins! Try Google to find out how to gain the correct level of access. You will need to delete the contents of both the Paint.NET/Effects folder and the Paint.NET/Filetypes folder. As Midora has said, consider your PC to be infected with malware, spyware and viruses until it scan clean.
  10. You may need to check your file permissions/access levels. Right-clicking on the file name and then Rename should do it for you.
  11. Hi Kamnet and welcome. We like to keep topics current here on the Paint.NET forum as techniques and software have a way of marching on. Your request is a good one, worthy of its own brand new thread. I'll split out these two posts and create a new thread for you. The old thread can be left to die in peace
  12. Congratulations Welshy, Doughty and Drew, and my co-thirds NiteNurse79 and Lloyd as well as everyone who took part. It's a pleasure to be counted in such esteemed company. I had a blast with this competition! Many thanks to Daniels for making it happen.
  13. This is not an issue with Paint.NET. Please repost your problem in the thread for the Alpha Mask plugin. Thanks. <closed>
  14. The forum is not a font recognition tool. As you have found, there are plenty of ways to id an unknown font using online tools. Please use them.
  15. Repost your request in the 565 plugin thread. That way we keep all the discussion together. Thanks. <closed>
  16. The jagged edges should be softened. If the model is on her own layer, then try the AA's Assistant plugin or BoltBait's Feather to do the external edges. Internal jaggies might be minimized with one of the blur tools. Make the eyes a bit smaller. They look great - but are just a mite too large. Try selecting the eyes individually and using the Move tool to shrink them. The shoulders need to be less square, and I'd put a bit more 'meat' on her legs (possibly shorten them?). For both of these I'd try Pycrochild's excellent Liquify plugin. The lips are too narrow. Widen them a little - unless you want a 'pout' Pants look sprayed on. They need hems, seams and a few folds to make them look realistic. I'd replace the top item of clothing with something a little less revealing. It's a chat site - you want them intrigued, so don't show them ALL the goods
  17. Hello Comiczeichner - welcome to the forum! Do you mean larger? You can use the size controls in the Tool Bar to make the brush width larger (or smaller).
  18. Interesting that the Shape3D UI always opens on the second of my dual monitors - i.e. the one not showing Paint.NET.
  19. With all due respect - the model here looks like a teenaged fantasy. Overlarge bust, unnaturally slim waist, strangely elongated legs, cartoon eyes and the shoulders of Maria Sharapova. Making this look 'real' is a huge undertaking. Would you be better taking a photo of an actual model and adapting it to suit your needs? That said, this tutorial might be of interest: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/12937-how-to-airbrush-like-a-professional-lets-try-this-again/
  20. Old posts are best left alone. It's unlikely the original poster is still looking for this functionality. <closed>
  21. Most users of this forum use English. In order to assist our users to find your plugin, can you please either provide an English link on your blog or zip the file and attach it to the above post? Thanks.
  22. 1. Text is rendered to the canvas as pixels. They are not selectable as characters once they are committed to the canvas. 2. JPG's do not support layers. Your have a single layered image where the text is now actually part of the image. This is like scribbling on your wallpaper with a marker pen. There is no way to change the text afterwards - you have to remove the wallpaper or cover it over. (I like this analogy - it explains the process very simply.) In your case you're going to have to select the text and surrounding image then carefully erase the bits that aren't text. This is why we recommend putting your text on it's own layer and saving the image in a form that preserves the layer structure (PDN). If you save a working copy of the image in this way you always have something to go back and edit if you need to. Aside: I see you have previously asked about changing the default extension to JPG. I hope you can now see why this is a terrible idea.
  23. May Update Three new plugins this month, including a new filetype plugin. Bevel Object - @Red ochre. Apply different shaped bevels to an object, with either parallel or perspective lighting at a full range of angles. Bevels types: convex round, inset convex, convel bevel, convex chamfer, double convex, convex linear-flat, convex flat-linear, concave round, inset concave, flat. IFF ILBM (Amiga) Loader - @Zombieman. Loader for IFF ILBM images (native file format of the old Commodore Amiga computers). Supports loading HAM6 and HAM8 modes (and in theory HAM5 and HAM7 modes). Does not handle IFF24 images (max 8-bit images). Measure Selection - @Martin Osieka. Take measurements of an active selection or the whole layer. Option include setting the unit, dpi and scale. Useful for mapping or technical drawings.
