  1. There is no keyboard shortcut that will resize a selection. You need to be able to grab one of the control nubs with the mouse. If you can do that, the arrow keys will move the nub on a per-pixel basis for fine control. The Zoom Tool is broken at the moment. Have you tried using Ctrl + mouse wheel to zoom in/out on your selection?
  2. This is where we house the photo manipulation tutorials - see if there is anything there that can help http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/forum/22-image-and-photo-touch-ups/
  3. Hold down the spacebar while clicking and dragging = you can move the canvas around the editing window.
  4. I've been playing with a tapered line renderer. Unfortunately the forum update & ensuing problems got in the way.
  5. Ctrl + Alt?? Walk us through the exact steps you're performing.
  6. That's why Competition Hosts are special
  7. There are two themes, blue & gray. Find them in the settings dialog. http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/SettingsDialog.html
  8. It should do just that - maintain the canvas size. Is importing the new larger image changing the view size? Try pressing Ctrl + 0 to reset to 100% view size.
  9. Are you saving the image as a jpg? These don't support transparency, so they usually substitute solid white or black. Save it as a PNG.
  10. .Yes.http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/9381-polygon-tool-as-in-ms-paint/
  11. @anderpainter - you've been here long enough to know that replying to very old posts is forbidden. If you want to restart a topic just start a new thread. CLOSED.
  12. Hi Stuart and welcome The online documentation is a great place to learn the basics. This page covers the eraser tool http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/EraserTool.html
  13. I believe that is Microsoft's fault. They broke something in one of their updates. For a small number of systems the external download is required.
  14. You should be able to delete your own posts. If you can't, PM a Moderator. You cannot delete the replies of other members.
  15. I've had a look for this. There doesn't appear to be any setting which covers the appearance of the resize handle. Sorry.
  16. I'm very pleased to say that this appears to be fixed.
  17. There is an update in the pipeline which will fix the (currently broken) Zoom Tool. Until then, use the Ctrl + Mouse Wheel to zoom. To re-center an off center zoomed image, press Ctrl + B twice (Ctrl + B then Ctrl + B )
  18. I think you could achieve a lot with a few color reassignments. I like comments to be green for example.
  19. What? You don't like my green button? Forum software is a little finicky about the formatting. Not promising anything...
  20. Plain links work Ok for those familiar with the PayPal API and HTML - the button is for those who are not so tech-minded.
  21. I've created a PayPal button for the post editor. Works much like the imgur button. It links to your PayPal account (the bit you need to specify) - you can't specify amount, description or currency (defaults to $US). At least you might get something! Comments & discussion please.....
