  1. Of course, thank you, Madjik. A new idea (only an idea!): Kshotts, you could merge all your glitter-related plugins into one, for example providing an UI with tabs. The reason is that I also like your first attemps, but I would like to see all of these glitter things together in one UI. Perhaps Madjik would be so kind and help you again, I know him for very professional UIs. And to provide a "preview" checkbox is a good idea. Maybe you should look for speed optimizations, sometimes it gets very slow. Good look and thank you again, I really like it.
  2. This is amazing. It should be sticky'd. What I don't get: Why "advanced" submenu? Undoubtedly it is "advanced", but I think this belongs directly into "effects" like codelab. Or do you plan more "advanced" things?
  3. Well, first of all you may have problems as you use photo editor from Office xp. Photo editor isn't included in Office 2003 (as far as I know) and was replaced with picture manager (?). Perhaps Photo editor (= Office xp) and Word 2003 are not designed to work together in a proper way. Also I cannot imagine that Paint.Net changes settings of Word, at least because PCX is not natively supported by PDN (via plugin, you say it). Last but not least especially your last question is rather related to Office than to PDN. You should consider reading the help file of Word or writing this in an Office forum.
  4. I run PDN on a computer without internet connection. So I have no antivirus stuff enabled on that PC. Also I don't see the connection between history and scanning. History files are stored in an folder in %appdata% I think. %temp% is not %appdata%. And I am sure that I have at least 100 MB RAM left when I'm scanning. The junk files occur regardless to the size of the scanned pictures. But, Bob, thank you for spending time on that issue. Oh, and I forgot: Win XP SP2. I hope I will found time to test if another programm using WIA causes the same junk files.
  5. My limited technical knowledge doesn't allow me do determine if this is a bug or if it's related to PDN. But when I scan using PDN, there are files left in the temp folder (%TEMP%), "imgsomething.tmp" (0 KB). Maybe it's related to this WIA (?) thing PDN uses for scanning. If it's a bug of PDN, please fix it. It's not fun to browse the temp folder for cleaning up all that useless files. Please note that I get no errors when I scan. I hope I've posted in the correct section, if not -> please move. And I did search.
  6. Wonderful, simply wonderful. Edit: There is one thing left... I think the new namespaces only include distort and blurs. Well, Madjik, do you mind using the new classes? The best thing would be if you would find the time to change all of your plugins and reupload them... :? I know this would be work... But please...
  7. It's nice to see that you have it in mind. The point is that codelab is also used by plugin developers, and such a simple string change would affect all new plugins made with codelab in a positive way. Maybe it should be changed before including the other features... And last but not least: BoltBait, haven't you said you would change your plugins according to the new strings? It's quite a while since PDN 3.10 is out... Or did I missed changes?
  8. Shouldn't codelab be updated that it uses the new localizeable strings for blurs and distort?
  9. I think it has ZIP support even in ME, but you have to install it seperately from the cd. However, programmes for ZIP can just be found via web search. 7 Zip is good, but you should try to get a stable version. There are only betas released for a while.
  10. My idea was that you had old dlls in your effects folder and they were in conflict with each other. Anyway, glad that it's working now.
  11. My idea of a workauround: Close PDN, delete all "Ed"-dlls in effects, install the new ones - only the new ones - and start PDN. If this doesn't help, restart the PC. I had no problems. :?
  12. You are invited to do so as I can't compile it with codelab when it has more than 3 sliders  . Have you integrated the stars from your lens flare attempts? This would definately be nice!
  13. The Glitter plugin is gorgeous! One suggestion: "Stars" should be renamed to "Starfield". There is already a stars plugin (in render) and "starfield" would express the intention of the plugin in a better way I think. And not to forget: Thanks!
  14. Well, your plugin can be moved to "color" (via source). So it's useful for me as it doesn't blow up my effects menu. Thank you. Also I don't see that another plugin which can do the same is a reason to stop sharing your work. Some people like this one, some that one. I prefer yours.
  15. For the beginning it is already good. If there is any way to make it reffering to the layer down the current one, this would be the solution. It would render the stars and so on (in my mind on a transparent layer on top of the picture) and you could just to the blur manually, and this would remove all ugly edges. I have no idea if this is possible.. :? BTW, shouldn't these plugins go to render? In my eyes they don't distort the image, they render something new... I don't know and to be honest it doesn't mind in which submenu they are. Maybe you should remove the exclammation marks. They just don't fit into the UI (this is my personal opinion). Also it would be nice if someone with professional knowledge of coding would spend a little time with the source, speedups would be a great improvement.
  16. Well, by using blurs, blend modes and color changers (especially conditional hue & saturation) this plugin provides an easy and fast way to create some nice backgrounds and effects.
  17. Suggestion: You should make the edges softer. Just some kind of blurring or feathering. At the moment it doesn't look that natural. Maybe I use the wrong settings, but it is still too slow for me to test every possible setting. And the glow is nice.
  18. Yes! I ever dreamt of such plugins! I hope you will play more with codelab. Thank you very much!
  19. @ Rick: No need to be sorry. You have so many things to do, so it's just easy to forget the little upload. Thank you. Edit: And not to forget... Thank you that you removed the date based expiration. It really disturbed me and just was nasty (but I think you had reasons for it). @ Ymaster587: Well, when you use software to optimize pngs, PNG will beat lossless HD Photo in most of the cases (but not by far). But I have to say that I'm a kind of HD Photo fan. It's like a combination of better JPEG and PNG, so I really look forward to it.
