  1. Yes. Of course. But people say GIMP is comparable to Photoshop (i don't believe this) and people say Photoshop is better than PDN (at the moment, and the "better" means it has thousands of features i have no interest in). If these statements are correct, you should realize that the image was done in a differnt application. It is like to compare Firefox and IE 6 and to ask "How do I get tabs?". I hope it doesn't sound rude but I want to make my point clear. I have GIMP but I am using it for nothing but enhanced jpeg saving and a few other things. Maybe other users who also have GIMP (CMD if I'm not wrong) could help you further as they perhaps see corresponding things in both apps. Well, and actually no ones posts it, so I don't think they have an idea. The only thing I could imagine are massive amounts of layers, maybe months of work and much experience with the great shape3d. Otherwise it could hardly be done. Also keep in mind that the artist seems to be a real pro. To be honest, I don't think you will find the answers you want here, and I'm very sorry for this. I have said anything I can say to this topic. Good luck with your request. The End.
  2. What I dislike is that "Paint.Net.Discussion" brings unnecessary steps inside the forum. I don't think it has sense. Also, some people may not see categories when they don't recognize the "Board Index". And I want the old look back, too.
  3. Well it was done with GIMP, so maybe the question belongs in a GIMP forum... I think it could be done with PDN as I see such amazing work by PDN users (I have not to say I mean Ash, as everybody will think on him). So I would like to have a statement by a "pro".
  4. Glad to see you back, BoltBait. And thanks for reply. Edit: As I see, the bmw mark hasn't made it yet... I will let it there, maybe it shows up later.
  5. Maybe you could draw lines (color, with a second white line inside) on a new layer, add gaussian blur and glowing... This would be my first ideas...
  6. Nice on the one hand, able to be misused on the other. I have seen people on this forum I consider able to do that.
  7. How to do this? Via the red exclammation mark (!) down there? EDIT: Meanwhile it was answered. And I still have problems with the new forum...
  8. My first work posted in the pictorium. It looks poor, but I had to be fast... I suggest that you print it, pin it on your wall and... the rest is up to you. I tried to make a super spammer out of him. And please note that I have nothing against the guy on the original picture.
  9. Well, it wouldn't be a mistake I think. I don't know, has the search engine to be changed? As I played with google custom search I had to say which sites I want to search, and the adress has changed...
  10. Is this worth an entry in your blog, Rick (migration and so on)?
  11. As I said, thank you very much. And congrats to our new admins.
  12. Well it would be nice to have a fish eye plugin. I really would be glad about a plugin, just look at my username . All developers are invited.
  13. I feel sorry that all these weird things have happened. I pray it will not happen again. And congratulations to all moderators and to Rick, you did the right things and acted fast. Thank you very much.
  14. Means "liberty" that you've got the permissions? http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewt ... 4384be465a
  15. When you select the "Move selected pixels"-tool, you get this text in the bar at the bottom of the window: Correct would be: "Zum Skalieren ziehen Sie die Ziehpunkte". Singular: "Ziehpunkt"; plural: "Ziehpunkte". No "ü". Known affected versions: 3.08, 3.10. I don't know if this doesn't belong to "Bugs and Troubleshooting". If it was posted in the wrong section, please move it. And please fix the bug.
  16. I didn't know that! You don't just make some fine plugins, you help me further even in other ways. Thank you! ^^ I myself prefer jpeg compression with 96/97. It reduces the filesize enoumously and looks quite good in most of the cases. For the web I try to make files as small as possible with good quality as there are still people with slow connection, and I don't want to terrify them.
  17. And last but not least SWF allows jpeg-compression (i think). Unoptimized png-files tend to be big, and i think it would be terrible to load a web page full of APNGs each consisting of various unoptimzed PNGs.
  18. The last days we got some fine plugins from you. Please continue your work. It's getting better and better.
  19. At the moment, the only software that supports APNG is Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta. Only time will show if other browsers will get support for it. For example, JPEG 2000 didn't replaced JPEG, and there are no signs that HD Photo will. PDN is as said no animation program. But everybody is allowed to build a plugin for AGIF, APNG, MNG, SWF or whatever. At the moment people are maybe not that much interested in a format with very unknown future.
  20. Warning: Reading the following lines may hurt professional programmers. Looking on old topics in the plugin section, I remembered the image-to-code-plugin, which allows to convert the image to C-code (please see here: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3481). However, at the moment this hasn't any use (for me) as there is no possibility to convert the code back to the image. The point is that I wanted to ask if there is any code that would allow you to render a picture. To clearify this, my idea was the following: 1.) Take a picture, convert it to code. 2.) Open codelab. 3.) Write a code which basically is: "Render the following code". (This is what I request.) 4.) Paste the code of the converted image. 5.) Build dll. I think there would be some ways to make use of this, but at the moment I don't know if the code of the image supports transparency, which would be required in most of the cases. For example, it would allow you quick rendering of watermarks or something like that (create the watermark, convert it to code, create your pugin via codelab as described above). Also, this would be a very basic but easy way to render speech bubbles. I have no knowledge about coding. If it's possible, an easy to understand tutorial would be appreciated. If it's impossible, a simple "no" is enough.
  21. Jsonchiu, I really appreciate that you publish the source code side by side with your plugins. This is a great help for people learning to code. Thank you very much. And congrats for your new plugin.
