  1. The problem is your selection. I can see that your logo is still selected. If you have a selection active, all changes MUST be within that selection or they will be "clipped". Press ESC to turn off your selection before adding text outside of that currently selected area.
  2. Idea: post this picture in the pictorium (see sticky thread above).
  3. No. This is an often asked question and I'm sure you could use the search facilities here in the forum to easily find the answer to "Why?"
  4. So, dump it on a CD and install it on your home computer...
  5. This is due to the fact that you have anti-aliasing turned on. Click the Paintbrush, then look on the tool bar for the anti-alias mode button. Turn it off and retry your drawing.

  8. Well, pixel artists are a particular bunch. They don't believe any tool should be used except for the pencil tool. So, to attack such a problem from their point of view, you would need to add each color manually. Personally, I like to use the best tool for the job, be it the pencil tool, the built-in gradient tool, or the gradient effect.
  9. Well, you can try this: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=1849 But, I don't think you'll be happy with that. Probably best to use a different program...
  10. It just makes me wonder if you ever use Paint.NET or ...

  13. I found scores 1 and 3 of your chart to be the most interesting. Does moving from 32 to 64 bits really make that much of a difference?
  14. Put your flag on a new layer. Then adjust the transparency in the layer property box.
  15. I updated my image. I'll do a tutorial later. Anyone have a sample image that I can use for the tut?
  16. Thanks. No, that's no plugin. I only used Paint.NET 3.0 and the build-in effects to create it.
  17. Yes, you are on the right track. That link will help you.
  18. Well, you might start by adding PCX compatibility to Paint.NET: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2493
  19. OK, here it is, step-by-step: 1) Open an image 2) Use a selection tool to select the part you want to be transparent (Square, Circle, Freeform, or the ever popular Magic Wand) 3) Press the Delete key (on your keyboard). The checkerboard pattern you see is your indication that you have done good. 4) File > Save As... 5) Choose a file type that supports transparency (such as GIF or PNG) Done. Also, please choose a more descriptive thread title next time. Closed.
  20. So, Rick, why does the Effect DLL load when he's administrator but not when he's logged in under a different profile?
  21. Well, there should be when logged in as Administrator.
  22. I recommend this plugin: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=1102
