  1. No, but you can create a palette with those colors in it. Your selected palette is remembered between sessions.
  2. The reflection effect only works on areas that are transparent. So, follow these steps: 1. open your flat image 2. duplicate the layer (now you have 2 copies) 3. on the top copy, select and delete the ice (where you want to see the reflection) 4. run the effect Should come out like this:
  3. Not exactly. When I wrote the Soften Portrait effect, I started with the Orton Effect steps and had to simplify them to the point that it would be easy to implement. It is close. But, following the full steps give a better result.
  4. Please understand that Paint.NET will never be a complete replacement for Photoshop. It is written by ONE GUY that already has a full time job doing something else! If you really need those functions, you probably should spend the $600+ for Photoshop.
  5. Rick, do you get the command line from the following registry entry? HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htmlfile\shell\open\command That's always the way I do it. The way AlbertEin suggests works great too.

  13. Oh, I knew what you had in mind. But, my design was easier to execute.
  14. Notepad can do this if you have it open with unsaved changes. When the shutdown event happens a program can capture it and prevent it from happening. OR, You can change the behavior of your power button. Start > Control Panel > Power Options > Advanced Tab.
  15. By finding a method that works when using standard tools, we can automate that into a plugin. This process is not a waste of time.
  16. If you are talking about Effects... You should probably read this page: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/install
  17. Wow. 10 seconds? Do you get bored waiting for the microwave oven?
  18. I also like the Color Balance plugin to reduce yellow in poorly lit indoor pictures. There is a link for it in my sig. Also, you might want to read this thread: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5570 It goes along with this plugin: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6524
  19. Open your jpg image and press the following: Ctrl-A (Select all) Ctrl-C (Copy) Ctrl-Alt-V (Paste to a new image) Ctrl-S (Save) That will strip out most of the metadata from your image.
  20. Oh, wait. That shouldn't be too much of a problem. I don't have the source code on this computer, but give me a day or so and I should have an update.
