  1. The best way to deal with this is to take another picture with higher resolution this time.
  2. Everyone knows that Paint.NET's printing capability is limited. The best way to deal with that limitation is to copy your Paint.NET image and paste it into Microsoft Word and print from there.
  3. Well, if you hit Ctrl+B again, it goes back to the view you had before.
  4. Check to see if your keys are working correctly: https://www.onlinemictest.com/keyboard-test/
  5. Unless you click the "Invert mask" check box... then it is the opposite.
  6. Nope. Instead of placing your mask on the clipboard, just place it on a separate layer. You can make the layer invisible--doesn't matter. Then, select the layer where you want to apply the mask and run Apply Mask. It will then prompt you for the name of the layer with the mask on it.
  7. Your question has been answered. Posting more than one thread asking the same simple question over and over again is making the moderators think you are a spammer trying to bump up your post count before going on a spamming run. Note: any member that is more trouble than they are worth is subject to banning. Tread carefully. We are watching…
  8. Just drag your docker windows outside of the Paint.NET window.
  9. I see you have the "Keep original alpha" check box selected. This should maintain the original alpha of all selected pixels. If one pixel is turning transparent, that's a problem. I haven't made changes to that plugin in a long time. @Rick Brewster, you have access to the source code to my plugin on GitHub. I'll PM you the link.
  10. Try this plugin: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/112948-v12/
  11. Nothing you've said so far would prevent you from using your image for business purposes.* *Assuming you haven't taken a picture of a person without their consent... or, say, a business or other copyrighted work (Eiffel Tower, Mona Lisa, etc.)
  12. Do you own the original image (the image BEFORE you modified it in Paint.NET)? Paint.NET does not ship with any fonts. It simply uses the fonts already existing on your system.
  13. Awesome! Time to upgrade your plugins. Go to the forum and download all the latest plugins to replace the older ones on your system. My plugin pack, for one, has been completely rewritten for PdN 5.0+ and has a TON of new features. I think you'll like it. Post a crash log here and someone will help you get to the bottom of it. Some things to try: - Windows updates - Update your graphics drivers - Make sure all your plugins are updated There is not. So, let's get your 5.0 working properly!
  14. Why not try this exercise, it will only take a few minutes of your time: Take a natural photograph save it as file1.jpg and close it. Open file1.jpg and save it as file2.jpg close all files. Open file2.jpg and save it as file3.jpg close all files. : until you get bored : Open the original image Use the menu "Layers > Import from file" to load your last image as a new layer. Select the top layer (the one with your final image on it) and press F4 Change the blending mode to "Xor". Each pixel in the final image that is exactly the same as the original image will show up as black. Each pixel that is different will show up as a shade of gray noting how far away from the original image the color is. (White is completely different.) Now, do the same experiment but using PNG file format this time. What do you see?
  15. Paint.NET had been running for almost 10 hours straight when the error occurred?
  16. You need to go to the first post in this thread and click the big blue button. Be sure to click the "Install Everything" button in the installer.
  17. Please attach a zipped copy of the psd file to assist @taoyue in debugging the issue. Please be sure the image is family-friendly.
  18. Try Ctrl+Shift+Click the buttons to make the windows reset to their default spots.
  19. This looks like overkill*: https://github.com/dynamicexpresso/DynamicExpresso Maybe something like this: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/17183314/mathematical-expression-entered-in-one-text-box-and-display-its-result-in-other/17184090#17184090 Might need to add ( ) and make it recursive though. * Of course, with this you could define variables, like Selection.Width, Selection.Height, Canvas.Width, Canvas.Height, etc. which would be pretty cool. But, would this open security risks with interpreted code?
  20. How about saving those files instead of leaving them open with changes? That's what we all do.
  21. First, install my plugin pack: https://forums.getpaint.net/BoltBaitPluginPack Second, use the magic wand to select the white area around your object: Press the Del key and then run the Effects > Object > Feather Object: This will delete the white pixels left from the cutout.
