warfighter67
Sometimes, I just want to open a picture and view it/do some simple cropping. With over 300 addons, PDN can take about 10 seconds to load, which can get a bit annoying. Could there be some option to set PDN to open with no addons, and consequently, an option to load the addons (after PDN has been opened, it then loads the addons and refreshes the menu display so the addons are there)? I know people might tell me to switch my default program to something else, but that isn't the workaround I'm looking for. Edit: Hello everyone, miss me? pyrochild
It would be better to just load them asynchronously off the UI thread like fonts do now. That is, PDN would start and be usable instantly, while the plugins load in the background without the user noticing unless they try to use a plugin immediately. warfighter67
I didn't think about that, it would be awesome if that was done. Quote My Soundclick!--Well of Souls MMO--Gallery--Facebook--Photobucket--Cool Tile Texture!
Sfifer
Why not just Right click on the file Open with MSPaint. Crop things out there. Quote Blog                     Twitter                     My Gallery
warfighter67
Sometimes I open images from the internet or need to quickly edit a screenshot, and MSpaint sucks with cropping and stuff, it's so much easier in PDN Quote My Soundclick!--Well of Souls MMO--Gallery--Facebook--Photobucket--Cool Tile Texture! Ego Eram Reputo
Move every plugin you haven't used for two weeks into a sub folder in the /Effects/ folder (mine is called /Effects/Unloaded/). Paint.net will load much faster if you have fewer plugins - so be ruthless. Q: What on earth are you doing with 300 plugins? Have you actually used them all, or are you just hoarding them? warfighter67
I have used several different ones for several different works, so yes, I use them all, xD. But I guess you could say I'm hoarding them. Quote My Soundclick!--Well of Souls MMO--Gallery--Facebook--Photobucket--Cool Tile Texture!
barbieq25
EER's suggestion is a good one. I moved a stack to the recycle bin. Some got restored but a lot didn't. Yep, I missed you. Good to see you back. Does this mean we will see more of you? Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. warfighter67
I might be, mainly lurking until I find a motive to do some design. I haven't lost the touch though still just as good as before. Simon Brown
Alternatively, you could create a copy of your Paint.NET directory with the effects and filetypes folders empty and put it somewhere else. Make sure you do this every time you update to a new version.
