Jerryv
I have the Microsoft Store version of Paint.net. Many Plug-Ins onlt have an installer to download. When i try to install, i get a message that Paint.net is not installed on my computer.
BoltBait
I've already rewritten my plugin installer to work with the store version. I'm working with Microsoft to get it into the Windows Store. Once I've done it, I will be sharing my code with the other plugin authors so they can do the same thing. Just be aware, this is going to take a while. Microsoft isn't known for moving quickly on anything. Jerryv
Thanks, I uninstalled the Store version and installed from PDN. Don't see an advantage to the Store one. Doesn't even allow you to create a shortcut....
Ego Eram Reputo
To create a Store shortcut, right click on the app in the start menu then Pin to Start. That creates a tile in the Start menu. You can launch the app by clicking the tile, or drag the tile to the taskbar. Oh and BTW, you can run both versions side-by-side. I use one as a plugin-lite version Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
Rick Brewster
The Store version also has fully automatic updates. I talked about this in my blog post: https://blog.getpaint.net/2017/09/29/paint-net-is-now-available-on-the-windows-store/ Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
