Rick Brewster
Yeah I know, it sounds like it should have a catch but it really doesn't. Surprised me too, after I researched it for a bit. Anyway, I'm trying out a new way of donating (PayPal is still allowed of course!) using TrialPay. You may have seen other software such as mIRC, AdAware, or ZoneAlarm touting this as a way to get their full or registered version for free. Well, now you can send a donation to Paint.NET without actually spending any money All you need to do is to try or buy one of the many products offered by TrialPay, many of which you would normally buy anyway - such as games, music, or dvds, and then they'll send a donation to Paint.NET on your behalf. (Click one of the images to start) I've updated the main Paint.NET donation page as well: http://www.getpaint.net/donate.html If you've yet to donate to Paint.NET, now here's your chance to contribute and show support! (Not to imply that those writing tutorials or otherwise being active on the forum "aren't contributing" ... !) I was very careful to find something that didn't involve some sort of hoakiness or scam or general exploitation of the user base. I even passed up large sums of cash from a business that wanted to buy Paint.NET and either start charging for it, or hijack your web browser, or install ad-infested toolbars (no joke: http://blog.getpaint.net/2008/01/15/how ... net-worth/ ). Obviously that would have been terrible, so I told them to stop bothering me. So please, help me keep Paint.NET completely free Make me proud! Anyway, let me know what you think or if you have questions. Thanks. LJXD
I really got my hopes up with Adobe Premier 4. But you have to pay $190 USD for it. Thats about $250 AUD, not exactly the best deal but it's better than nothing i guess. |My Sig Tut| Deviant Art |Advanced Grunge Texture|My Gallery The Birthplace of Life
Rick Brewster
Well, if you were wanting to pay for Adobe Premiere, that's the place to do it because they'll also kick $15 over to Paint.NET. Anywhere else would send $0 ... but you'd pay the same amount! Mike Ryan
For everybody really interested in using this, I recommend using a spam email account (an account in which you use to sign up for offers) that way PdN gets a free donation and you dont have to mess with those silly offers
ZELDA GURU
Agreed, you could use http://www.mailinator.com/ How do I create an account at Mailinator? It's simple, you just send email to it. Temporary accounts are created when email arrives for them. First, you give out the mailinator email address you created, and then you check it. It's that simple. Email should be like this: "Example@malinator.com"
