  1. I had thought that thumbnailing rendered it a non-issue. Is that wrong?
  2. Zooming can also be done using: Ctrl + Mouse wheel
  3. All that I can suggest is that you turn the plugin brush speed to the maximum and move the mouse as slowly as needed to get an even application. -------------------------------- If the result is not acceptable, you can experiment with making your own custom brushes. Make the brush on a transparent layer and save as PNG.
  4. There is a step missing after Step 3. http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/6350/step03.png http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/5347/step04.png .
  5. There is the CustomBrushesMini plugin. These brushes may work okay for airbrushing:
  6. Try this: Download and install the Printer+ plugin. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Open a new file, set canvas size to 210x290mm. Place the 100x100mm drawing in the center. Print using the Printer+ plugin effect set to A4 paper and zero margin size.
  7. The Eraser tool does erase, it will erase whatever it is applied to on the active layer. If the layer consists of white with dark lines, the white will be erased along with the dark. Erasing will leave transparent "holes". Learning about layers is important to a proper understanding of how to use this program. There are many digital image programs available, web searching will present many to choose from. I believe that if you take some time to learn how to use Paint.NET it may serve you well. Here is a link to the Help documentation: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/index.html You might want to look through some of the Forum members' galleries in the Pictorium, the Archives of the competition forum, and the Galleria to see if any of the work is in line with what you wish to be doing. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/forum/16-the-pictorium/ http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/forum/32-the-archives/
  8. Try these installation instructions: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/InstallPlugins.html
  9. The answer to this question will depend on the specifics of what you are doing. Generally, the Eraser tool can be used. If you have one or more lines on a white background, they can be painted over with a white Paintbrush. If the lines are all on their own transparent layer, the layer can be deleted. If you have just finished drawing several lines that you now don't want, you can click on the action immediately before the lines in the History window. So, if you can be more specific, we can give specific advice and help.
  10. The Extract Channel and Alpha Mask Import plugins will be useful for this. ====================================================== Progression - Original -------------------------- Original duplicated, top layer set to Color Burn, merged. -------------------------- Extract Channel set to CMYK - Cyan, duplicated, top layer set to Overlay, merged. -------------------------- Cleaned up with black Paintbrush and white Paintbrush, duplicated, top layer set to Overlay, merged. -------------------------- Black-and-white Mask copied to clipboard, Alpha Mask Import plugin effect applied to original image.( With bottom two boxes checked ) -------------------------- Different background added. http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/9017/channelmasks02.png
  11. Probably is unnecessarily complicated, but I don't know specifically what you want to accomplish so I can't make a better suggestion. ----------------------------- Is it that you'd like to bring a multi-layer .pdn file in as a single layer? ----------------------------- If so, with the file that you want to add something to open, open a new file, and import the file to be added, as layers. Layers > Import From File... then Image > Flatten Copy the flattened image. Ctrl + C Go back to the original file that you want to add to: Edit > Paste in to New Layer ---------------------------- http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/WorkingWithLayers.html .
  12. This may be helpful: http://www.ehow.com/how_4465137_disable-photo-printing-wizard.html
  13. The current active layer will be highlighted in the Layers window. Clicking on a different layer in the Layers window will make it the active layer. To bring image files in as layers: Layers > Import from File... (In the menu at the top) Copying and pasting can also be used.
  14. RAWLOAD v1.0 Load Raw files with metadata using WIC is absent from the List of Filetype Plugins index. Here's the link: ------------------------------------ So far as I can tell from skimming the thread, the only one claiming success at loading NEF files is the author of the donation-ware codec. .
  15. Use the Angle of start slider in the plugin UI.
  16. Type the text in twice, and adjust things so that it looks right on the top half. Afterward erase the duplicate text on the bottom. You can also add extra spaces using the space bar in the bottom part if it helps position things properly. --------------------------------------------- If you open a free account at http://imageshack.us/ you'll be able to upload image files up to 5 MB in size. Then you can post the Direct Link URL here. .
  17. The Line / Curve tool doesn't have pointed ends as an option. If you put each line on its own new layer, you could add points after they are finalized.
  18. Note that there are several spaces between the letters as entered in the plugin UI. The normal text is size 24. It matches better with the plugin set to size 25. The three letters were made on their own layer, then moved with the Move Selected Pixels tool. http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/3472/curve03.png ============================= There are two plugins in the same plugin pack with similar names. Oblique.dll TubeOblique.dll The tube one is the one to use for this.
  19. Layers Tube Oblique plugin http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/3923/curve01.png Normal Text tool/Circle Text combo http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/3702/curve02.png
  20. There is more than one plugin that does mirror effects. There may be more. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=6828
