  2. If you decide to go with my suggestion, this plugin might be a good setup. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=4175 Run it with these settings, and Paintbucket fill each square successively. http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/3342/pallettesetup01.png http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/5905/pallettesetup02.png
  3. Yes. Or you can have it as a layer in every file if you like. That layer can be discarded when not needed.
  4. Maybe prepare a full-size PNG image with large blocks of the pallette colors. Set the file Properties to Read-Only so that it doesn't get saved over and lost. Create a shortcut that opens Paint.Net with that file loaded. Use the Color Picker tool.
  5. It is a special case of on-screen keyboard using Eye-Gaze. If the Pause key can be activated by Eye-Gaze, then the attached app may help. ========================================= No reason not to explain about activating mouse keys, if it might be helpful. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88849-mouse-keys.html http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/access_mousekeys_howtoclick.mspx?mfr=true http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/access_mousekeys_howtodrag.mspx?mfr=true ========================================= In any event, so far as I know, you need to be able to click things in the Colors window. .
  6. There is a simple program inside the attached zipfile. So long as the program is running, pressing the Pause key will effect a left mouse-button click. Edit: Attachment removed.
  7. Just as a test, try it with some colored text. See what it does in Alice.
  8. Open a new file with 200x100 canvas. Press Ctrl + A Press Delete. Add the text. Save as PNG. --------------------- Transparency is indicated by the gray-and-white checkerboard. The checkerboard is not part of the actual image.
  9. Have you closed and re-started Paint.NET since installing the .dll?
  10. That's an obsolete Kris VDM plugin. Adjustments > Invert Colors will substitute well for it.
  11. From what I've read in the Alice forums, .png can be used and is preferable. Open Paint.NET, press Ctrl+A . Press Delete. In the Colors window, click on the white square in the palette. Add the text. Save as PNG.
  12. Agreed. To make the bluish texture partially transparent, first select it with the Rectangle Select tool. You can add to an existing selection by holding down the Ctrl key while making additional selections. You can subtract from an existing selection by holding down the Alt key while making additional selections. After selecting, apply the Grim Color Reaper plugin effect with What color? set to White. This will tend to make the light colored areas of the texture transparent more quickly than the dark parts as the Color tolerance slider is moved to the left. =========================================== Or use BoltBait's Transparency plugin for more even transparency change.
  13. If what you want is PNG, to preserve transparency, be sure that the Save Configuration is set to: Auto-detect or 32-bit ================================== To eliminate the white in the existing image, use the Magic Wand, set to zero Tolerance. Click on the white with the Shift key down, then press Delete.
  14. The attached file is a PNG file/image. Not the same as a PGN file/image. So, do you actually need the PGN format? Or PNG?
  15. It's there. You just have to know where to look.
  16. Layers > Rotate / Zoom or Make use the Move Selected Pixels tool with the right mouse button. .
  17. I believe that did apply to the forum when it was hosted by forumer.com, but no longer. (I just now tried attaching a 1.41 MB image, no problem.) In any event, with a free ImageShack account you can upload files up to 5 MB in size, then post the Direct Link URLs here on the forum. http://imageshack.us/ .
  18. Open both Picasa and Paint.NET. Drag the Picasa thumbnail to the Paint.NET canvas and drop it there. Close Picasa.
  19. Open the left-side picture in Paint.NET. Import the right-side image. Layers > Import From File... Press Esc to deselect. ------------------------------------ Expand the canvas. Image > Canvas Size... By absolute size Be sure that there is not a checkmark at Maintain aspect ratio. Double the Width. Anchor at the Left. OK ------------------------------------- Layers > Rotate / Zoom Set X Pan to 1.000 ------------------------------------- Make additional adjustments of position with the Move Selected Pixels tool.
  20. This tutorial shows one way to cut-out your face to add to another background image:
  21. Same here. For animated PNGs. The Save Configuration - File size: Error. File doesn't work. ============================ Tried another one. The Save Configuration - File size: Error. File works. Go figure.
  22. Yes. When zoomed in, the upper and left sides of the canvas become inaccessible.
