    JLG's Gallery

You forgot to mention the improved license plate.
  4. What stands out here is "Product: Paint.NET v3.5.2". Current version is v.3.5.6 .
  5. From your post, highlight the © Right-click - Copy. In Paint.NET, activate the Text tool and click on the canvas. Press - Ctrl + V
  6. The text will have to be edited as image. (Pixels) How best to do this will vary depending on the particular image. If you can post some links to the actual images you're working on, we will be better able to make some specific suggestions.
  7. Re: The new zip. This file is currently set to private.
  8. My previous post's steps can turn a standard picture into something similar to your example image. For use in a game you will probably need to ask for help in the gaming forums. The fullbright effect may be a function of the game software more than anything else.
  9. There are a number of possible factors that could be causing this problem. If you can post a link to the actual image you want to print it will help. If there are privacy concerns, save a duplicate file with a different file name and obliterate any text and logos with the Paintbrush before posting.
  10. There are no Paint.NET plugins equivalent to Topaz ReMask. Some of the Topaz plugins work on Gimp if the PSPI plugin is installed. Don't know whether ReMask will.
  11. Use Simon Brown's Printer Plus plugin, set the margins to zero.
  12. Did you open the zip and copy/paste PhotoShop.dll into the File Types folder?
  13. The way to do this will vary depending on the specifics of the particular image that you are working on. If it is an object on a transparent layer, you can use Mike Ryan's Silhoutte Plus plugin. ----------------------- Or you could do the following one or more times. Go to: Adjustments > Brightness / Contrast Move the Brightness slider all the way to the left. Move the Contrast slider all the way to the right. ----------------------- If it is not on a transparent background, you may need to use one of the cutting out techniques, like this: ----------------------- If you can post a link to an image that you want to turn into a silhoutte it will help towards getting the best advice.
  14. In a picture: Lasso select around the figure, copy/paste into a new layer. Adjustments > Black and White Adjustments > Brightness / Contrast After increasing the contrast, Paintbucket fill the shadowed part blue and Paintbucket fill the lighter part green. Deselect and apply Feather Object plugin effect. Apply Pixelate plugin effect.
  15. Make the selection, then- In the menu at the top: Edit > Copy Edit > Paste in to New Layer
  16. BoltBait's Feather Object plugin is useful for soft feathered edge anti-aliasing. Gaussian blur would be a good choice for avoiding the graying effect.
  17. The particular type of blur that's used can make a difference. Was this done with Gaussian blur, or some other blur?
  18. Can you post a link to an example image? Also, what is your method (what steps?) for making the partially transparent parts?

Pretty. Nice to see the technique being put to use.
  20. Can you post a link to where you encountered this info? Thx.
  21. For this drawing it would be best to have the sky as bottom layer. (Call it Layer One) Layer Two, the yellow. Layer Three, the fill of the eggs. Layer Four, the black outline for the eggs. If you then position a new layer above Layer Two, but below layer Three, you can make changes that will show on the background. Those changes won't affect the eggs because the changes are on a layer that is lower than the egg layer. http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/WorkingWithLayers.html

  23. Yes, I've noticed that not everyone uses all three votes. There might be any number of reasons why this is so. By default it is "Vote for up to three". Allowing three votes does lead to a fairer poll. There is no way to enforce using all three possible votes. (The majority of forum members use zero out of three possible.) I think the current setup is somewhat less than perfect, but adequate and probably the best we can reasonably effect. .
  24. This link explains how to install plugins: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/InstallPlugins.html .
