  1. Some good stuff, like the 'One Mission' has a nice feel to it, it works well
  2. Good first images...like the glass effect you achieve, great start to your gallery
  3. Making use of the tut's is the best way to learn your way around Paint.Net, after that it's a case of experimenting and allowing your imagination to flow.... i like what i see so far
  4. I have to agree with Goonfella , thats how they look... good work
  5. Perhaps another poem that would fit well with this piece Lament for Mr Tai Wine-maker there by Yellow Fountains, ‘Eternal Spring’ that’s still your vintage. Without Li Po on Night’s Terrace Who can there be to bring you custom? EDIT I forgot to add the 'Glass Flower' is truely beautiful
  6. Love the shadow effect the use of gradient gives on the first piece in the Large\Assorted section... and who know's maybe one day we will see one of your designs become reality
  7. Another great piece of art and i am looking forward to tasting the wine produced from the grapes...
  8. MWAHAHAHA !!!!! First piece of 'Dark Art' i have seen in the galleries, love it the cube looks great... The three characters, especially Mr. Octapus could be recreated using shape 3D, Bulge and the tut on Bloody Tenticles viewtopic.php?f=31&t=29019
  9. Goonfella\Raptor_101.... Thank you for the words of encouragement, I have only been using Paint.Net for a short period of time but I’m beginning to understand a lot more about it.
  10. Yeahhhhh ! First piece of advice anyone has taken from me Looking forward to viewing more of your work and like the others i may not always comment but i will certainly be looking in
  11. I must be missing something, which tut is it? The idea for 'Shades of Grey' came from a piece i viewed in LFC gallery not a tut done by him, there is also a link in there to a PS tut that gave me the idea of screwing the letters to the background, it also gave me the idea of creating a wood grain texture that im using on a new work. Sorry if i created some confusion :?
  12. First thing to do is edit the title removing the layer that contains 'Not Worthy' , flatten and repost as 'Sokagirl's Gallery' To often we are our own worst critics, from what i see here you are more than worthy. Always remember 'For every Michelangelo, there is a Picasso' is one better than the other ??? i think not....
  13. Recreating the colours Mother Nature presents us with is the source of many a bald patch on an artist's head where they proceed to pull their hair out in frustration , Abalone (Mother of Pearl) presents one of the most beautiful/frustrating combination of colour/texture.....you are very, very close to recreating that combination. My advice ? Wear a crash helmet... it saves the hair Listened to Toad, love it especially 'Windmills' going to hunt down a copy of their C.D
  14. Wonderfully creative work , there is not one i would choose as a favourite as each piece is born of its own idea's and emotions and is a source of enjoyment. I look forward to viewing more of your art.
  15. Thanks , looking round other galleries gives me some wonderful ideas and there is some excellent tut's as well, so there is plenty to keep the imagination fired up...
  16. Great work Flip, i really like the colours in the new Swirl they bring it to life ....
  17. The line comes from the song 'Comfortably Numb' from the album the 'The Wall' by Pink Floyd (seen it performed live back in '82) i've never heard Toad the Wet Sprocket but i love the name ...
  18. Wonderful Stuff , a real pleasure looking through your work...
  19. Wonderful stuff Ash and very inspiring , had a look at your Gem tut as well as some others and now the brain and imagination are in overdrive
  20. Hi Helen , some wonderful work in here for sure... my fav. has to be 'What Mice Really Do' that made me laugh
  21. @ Ash... Thank you @ Sokagirl...Not sure about the brain thing it's more to do with an overactive imagination @ Helen....Thank you @ Possum Roadkill.... Thank you, the Sig and Av were created to fit the name i use Now im off to have a wander through your galleries
  22. Wonderful abstract work, the beauty of abstract is there is no limits or bounderies or to miss quote Forest Gump " Abstract is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get"
