  1. Seems like you've been keeping busy .. again! It's great to see something new popping onto my screen whenever I visit your gallery. Just picked up your tag logs and am hoping to kick back into PDN. Keep up the great work!
  2. Spectacular work, as always, tHs! I'd love to possess your .pdns, so I could analyze them and pick up your great brushing skills.
  3. You don't. AFAIK, PDN doesn't support custom themes. The one you saw was probably just a piece for presentation reasons, not the real thing.
  4. Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but you can give your text a nice boost of definition with the 'Film' plug-in which gives it a nice grunge feeling to it. It kind of reminds me of the scrambled picture you get when losing a connection to a TV channel. First off, you can download the plug-in from over here. So, open up your piece and write out your text (by my experience the effect you will try to achieve works best on white color). After you've done that, duplicate the layer. Apply the Film effect on the top layer. Calibrate the settings to your liking and render the effect. Next, click on the bottom layer and select everything but the text with the 'Magic Wand' ( ) tool. Keep your selection selected and click on the topmost layer and lastly, hit delete. Here's an outcome on how the effect should look like.
  5. Well, if you're going for a pixeled look then I think it looks pretty good. Edit: I forgot to add, the topic is kinda in the wrong section since this is for personal galleries and such. If you're looking for opinions/help on your work, then you might want to try the 'Image Hospital' which can be found at the top of 'The Pictorium'.
  6. I'm not sure if it would be appropriate since the piece is mainly done using brushes and there really isn't a tutorial how to use them because it's rather easy to adapt. I would like to direct you to this thread.
  7. Thanks! The 'Samurai Jackish' piece was mainly done with brushes which you can find on DeviantArt. The fractals are rendered with Chaoscope, but you can also use Apophysis, but that might seem a bit harder to use at a first glance.
  8. Umm .. is it just me or are most of your pictures deleted from 'Photobucket' ..
  9. Hmm, you got some pretty sweet stuff here. I'll be definitely looking forward to see more from you. Keep 'em coming!
  10. The skater girl is perfect. /takes his hat off.
  11. I feel like it's missing something. At first I thought I didn't quite get the depths and focals right on the render. Any opinions?
  12. I'm using brushes I picked out of dozens of packs I found throughout DeviantArt - I had to convert them .. well, some of them. It's kind of difficult to point out the exact brushes I use. You'll just have to look around and find the suitable ones for your tastes. Thanks!
  13. Thank you. You'll get the hang of (if not already) PDN quite fast thanks to it's user friendly interface. Good luck!
  14. You rang, milord? Well, since I think Paint.NET is one topnotch program which I enjoy using, my wish list is limited. But I have to agree with many others, a configurable amount of knobs for the line tool would be nice. If a brush tool really is going to be implemented, could it support those vector things (those little logos on a long line) since I can't seem to get them to work properly with the current tool. Resizable tool windows would be more than welcome too. But still, I have no doubt that v4 will be a blast!
  15. I agree with Ember. At least a possibility of a larger amount of nubs would be a gift from heaven.
  16. Some of your brushes may have huge dimensions like 1000x1000, I'd suggest you remove those.
  17. Well, measuring the diameter of the pin-backed button's circle would kind of help you. When choosing your dimensions for the picture, it will show you the print size either in centimeters or inches. Well, knowing the 'dimensional capacities' you can then fit the dimensions of the piece equally to the button's size. Well, about the design, then it's up to you since you can put anything on it, I presume. There are a lot of button tutorials here so you might try your luck at those. Good luck!
  18. Great manipulations you got there. I simply love how the 'Moon' fades into black on 'Origins'.
  19. Yeah, you kinda cut out the piece you think fits your tag and then install it into it. Well, 'tHs' said that 'screen' layer mode is used, but I don't know. Screen doesn't look that good, at least not in my tags. :?
  20. Could you elaborate please? I'm not sure if I understand you correctly.
  21. Oh my God! My wish became true! You made a tut for your signature! I'm so going to make one after I've finished my 'tags'.
