1. Perhaps you could post a screenshot of where you placed the files? That way its easier for us to help you, and quicker for you.
2. Maybe next time. _______________________________________ Nadal v Federer Australian Open Final 2009 With Lightning: v1: v2: Without Lightning: v1: v2: Stocks listed on dA here The effects show the personality as well. Nadal is a determined fighter who never gives up, until beaten, sorta like fire. Federer is a calm and cool character, hardly fustrated, so blue suits his effects Oh yeah, there is a bit of discovery in this piece. I hid something in there that has some significance. Hint: look at the text. Cookie to the discoverer!

4. Hmmm, those energy spheres are great, but they don't looks so "energy-fy-ing. They need outer glow, and the checkerboard needs distorting more. Looks like a thin lens distortion wise. Try making a square canvas, the same width as the radius of your sphere. Then render the checkerboard. Distort > Lens. Make sure the outer bit is distorted more than the inside. Make a mask to remove the bit you don't want (white circle on black bg, same size as square canvas - make sure circle is same size as energy sphere). Nice job though! EDIT: Just saw your gallery's banner, and thought give some comments. It looks good, liking the minimal style, but you've made a silly error. You outlined the text after Rotate/Zoom. Should be the other way round, so it looks 3d. Maybe add a gloss as well.

6. There are a lot of differences. Too many to list. A lot of the features in PS can be mimic'd in PDN with the help of plugins though, so i suggest you get busy downloading them.

8. Helio's method is best, but if you suck at using the line tool, then here's a flawless, and more accurate method. Presuming your shape is on its own layer, i.e no background except the white outline: Duplicate the shape layer. Turn the bottom one's visibility off. (little check-box in the layers window) Adjustment > Curves, these settings: Alpha Mask

Presuming your shape is on its own layer, i.e no background except the white outline: Duplicate the shape layer. Turn the bottom one's visibility off. (little check-box in the layers window) Adjustment > Curves, these settings: Effects > Object > Alpha Mask. No need to load a mask, just check both boxes, and hit ok. Your shape should now be black with no outline. Now you can simply, do Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast and make it lighter. Then, Effects > Outline Object, you can outline it in any thickness, and color. Thats how i would've done it. Hope it helped! If you don't have the plugins. Outline Object [urlhttp]Alpha Mask
10. Great job on the table wine, the table needs to be more defined though. It blends in too much. EDIT: Darken the wine.

13. Thanks, maybe i should get rid of the white highlight on the "l", or maybe move to the other side. :? I'll do some more testing lol.

15. Its pretty good. I love the effects on the right and middle. I'd say remove the added text, it kills it somewhat. Mimic similar effects on the right, to the left. those lines - i don't like.

17. gotoday, you've got some pretty good stuff there. Keep at it and you'll be making some awesome stuff. TrueChris, nice attempt at the recreation, i like how you added the shadow of the halo around the "e". Nice detail there. Bottom is a bit :AntiAliasingOff: though. Good though though! ____________________________ A logo for a mock-up webpage i'm going to work on. Complementary colours ftw! All PDN.

19. A grid is better, as you can distort is behind the glass where the glass would refract light and distort stuff behind it. You can show the distorts easier with a grid. Its harder and less clear with a gradient.
20. Thanks Amadeus! __________________________ Apple Wallpaper Pack v2 Again made in PDN. Enjoy!
21. lol, blooper showing off his 1337 smudge skills. I think it'd be a cool idea to have quality under 50%. At about 50% quality, you can mimic clipping masks in smudge, and i doubt 50% quality was made for clipping masks. Who knows what less than 50% could do?
