Please pardon me for not getting back til now, I had to take this computer in and get it fixed.. I had two very sticky keys on it and it was driving me nuts, especially since one was the 'N'.. So, while I was there I had the tech fix the problem with paint and now my effects are showing up just fine.. As for some of them being old you're quite right.. I've been using PDN for years to create all my wallpapers and, with this latest update, it's the first time there have been any major changes to it.. I LOVE my PDN! I will go in and download BoltBaits plug-ins and any new ones I see that might add some more great effects.. I want to thank you all so much for you're help and am so happy you are here to give me advice when I need it... When I tell people that my artwork, such as this one, was created entirely in PDN and not in some expensive program like PSP they can't believe it, but every single one of my PC Wallpapers was done in PDN with no other program necessary.. I hope this program is never changed to the point it becomes like PSP, which to my mind, is way too complicated and hardly user friendly.. Thanks again!

Nope, no 'unlock' button that I can see..

No, I didn't compress them at all.. Just selected them and moved them onto the flash drive.. After that, I downloaded PDN, opened the flash drive and moved the effects folder into the PDN files.. Here's a screenshot of most of the files.. There are more then this tho.. Thanks..

Hi All.. I just got a new computer and of course it came loaded with Windows 8.. I downloaded PDN right away and then moved effects folder from my old computer (to a flashdrive first) into my PDN files.. However, when I opened PDN and went to 'effects' none of the them were there.. I'm pretty devastated because I had a huge amount of them and, needless to say, without them I cannot created any new PC Wallpapers, my most cherished hobby.. Any help on this problem would be awesome.. If I have to go through the effects and re-download them again I think I will cry (got a hanky?).. The thumbnail below is one of my many wallpapers created in PDN.. I only use PDN, no other software or program.. If you would like to see more of my wallpapers you can go to Wallpaper Abyss or Alpha Coders and look under my user name SnowyKat.. All Wallpapers I create are free to download.. Thanks all..

You're very welcome.. I'm just glad I was able to download, without problems, your other plug-ins.. I look forward to using them.. I love PDN and people are often shocked when I tell them my wallpapers are not done in PSP or some other expensive software program.. Thanks again to all of you who work so hard to provide PDN users with these great special effect plug-ins....

Ok.. But what I'm saying is that, if what Norton is saying is not true and you know it's not, why don't you contact them and file a complaint with them? It says you have the right to do that.. I hope you get the problem cleared up, TR.. You have some really great designs here.. Good luck..

But I did not use another site to download your file, I did it right from here.. I'm not sure why Norton is suspect of your file but I would think you might want to look into it just for your own satisfaction.. Thanks..

Hehe, I haven't a clue as to what you are talking about.. I use PDN just about everyday but that doesn't mean I know anything about codes.. I just like to add new effects to use in my designs when I create new wallpapers for Alphacoders and I happen to love the 'star-effect' you've created.. I don't know why my Norton won't let this particular effect pass muster, I had no trouble with the others.. I will try it again and see if I can get more info for you from Norton.. Thanks.. Ok, tried it again and Norton just says threat is 'WS.Reputation.1.. Unable to download due to Norton 360 scanning and then removing the file saying it was not safe.. Not sure why as I had no problems downloading other plug-ins this evening..

You were the only one that seemed to recognize that I didn't know what I was doing and I really appreciate your friendliness, Amadeus.. I think that maybe people tend to forget, that even in this day and age of high tech not everyone is computer literate.. I'm basically really just learning everything and I'm having to teach myself.. So, perhaps next time, Rick and those OMA people (who should know better then to treat people like bloody potato just because they don't know what they are doing) will have a little more sympathy for people like me.. Ignorance may not be an excuse for breaking a law, but one has to know there IS a law in order to break it.. Again, thank you and the others that went out of their way to help.. I'm going to try and find someone else to get answers for me in here if I need help again.. I sure don't want to make another mistake, this one was painful enough.. Take care..

It's working fine now.. I moved just the new files into the effects folder and left the others alone.. Thanks so much for your help on this.. I really appreciate it and I'm sorry to have put everyone into such an uproar about the wrong title for my thread and putting it in the wrong place.. :oops:
