  1. Have you tried toggling the Anti-aliasing? Find it in the toolbar.
  2. Quite so MintyGirl. I've completed the warning messages for all the plugins I know that are incompatible. If it doesn't have a warning in the first post then it should work.
  3. Copy the DIRECT LINK from photobucket. Go to your post and type in a left square bracket, followed by "img=". Paste the copied URL directly after the "=" sign. Close the IMG tag by typing a right square bracket. [img= (direct link goes here) ] I've edited your post above to add an image (my avatar). If you edit that post you'll see a live example of how the image tag works. If you don't see the code, toggle the little switch in the top left of the editors tool bar.
  4. After Ctrl + C to copy your selection, Ctrl + Shift + V will paste the selection into a new layer & the Move tool will automatically be selected!
  5. Good Afternoon! Welcome to the forum generalhi Try this: Layer Saver. It is a stand-alone executable which extracts layers from a PDN image and saves them as separate images. This plugin might help: Sprite Sheet Animation
  6. Pressing F5, F6, F7 & F8 (aka 'Full Rimmer') does the the same thing.
  7. @analyst77: Norton is reporting a false-positive. It does that to justify its existence and take your money ( I'm only half joking here ). You can be assured the download is safe With the error you reported, try running PdnRepair.exe in the first instance. You'll find it in the C:\program files\Paint.NET directory. @MBI: That's how the Eraser works. Position and click on the target pixels or hold down the left mouse and drag.
  8. Does CafePress have a size requirement or a template they ask you to use? I ask because a number plate is a really specific shape. Your image will need to be sized accordingly.
  9. All incompatible effects I can find which are still on the forum have been flagged with the following note: MODERATORS NOTE: This effect is incompatible with Paint.NET 4.0x
  10. It's called a watermark. Go here and type it in to the search box http://searchpaint.net/
  11. RAW files are data rich files from digital cameras. Unfortunately different camera manufacturers implement the format in different ways so there is no standard. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raw_image_format Once a RAW file has been imported, it can be manipulated just like any other image.
  12. I'd like to encourage you to stick with 4.0 and give it a go. If you really, really want to regress to 3.5.11 then I'd suggest installing it side-by-side with 4.0. Here's a guide, in your case you're reversing the installation, but you should get the idea: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/27227-paintnet-40-alpha-build-5034/?p=399792
  13. Imagine the (p)outcry.... "Jst nw i saved a huge, multi-layered image i woz wrking on. When i reopened it there were woz no layers!!!! HELP PLZ!!!" "Oh wait. i changed my default 'Save As' file format to JPG. Cn i get my layers back? No?? HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!" Rick never has to put up with this. Every time you choose to save a file which loses data you MUST accept and acknowledge it.
  14. 1. I'm not at a PC with Paint.NET installed right now - so I cannot comment on this bug. 2. The Eraser sets the Alpha channel to zero. It does not remove the color information. This is why you can still select the area - despite it appearing to be the same. For example RGBA 255,255,255,0 is not the same as 128,128,128,0 but it looks the same due to the alpha value. 3. Paint.NET does not install or remove fonts. It uses fonts you have installed on your system. If Courier is missing then it's missing from your system, or perhaps corrupt. It's not because of anything Paint.NET 4.0 has done. Thanks for the report and the image - it does make it so much easier!
  15. ^ This. What happens if you open a single smaller image?

  17. Due to Ed Harvey releasing his plugin pack for 4.0x, the following plugins have been removed from the list. Color Filter Color Flip/Rotate Color Tint Filtered Black & White Glass Blocks Single Hue Vitrious White Balance Removed Kodak Tri-X 400 Emulator - it does work, but at the expense of other plugins.
  18. Oh right. That rings a bell now that you mention it. I've not included it in that list because it still works (despite the message). Please let me know if I need to change my assumption here
  19. Hi Dennis. Welcome First of all - have you seen this page in the documentation? http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/WorkingWithLayers.html You haven't explained what you're trying to achieve - so I've had to take a punt. Try these topics for starters.... Beginner Image Merging http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/12184-fading-blending-gradient-tool-on-a-camaro-picture/ Tip: As this is not a tutorial it doesn't belong in the tutorial thread.... <Moved to Paint.NET Discussion & Questions>
  20. These are in the list of incompatible plugins: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/27661-incompatible-plugins-an-incomplete-list-updated-for-405268/ Equations appeared to be working for me. Where are you seeing this error message?
