  1. This is a one time thing, Mr. Simon. And abusing will bar you from future competitions
  2. We haven't had a great tutorial in so long. And, I think this may be the best written! Two thumbs up big time, and I definettly recommend stickying this tutorial.
  3. Paint.NET is completely free, and you are welcome to use it as you like
  4. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1238&st=0&sk=t&sd=a Enjoy, and welcome to the forums
  5. It is up! As by popular vote, you now get an extra .5 points per vote if your entry was created by two people.
  6. Yes, a link to the Help Files and SearchPaint.NET underneath Paint.NET Information would also be very very helpful. Very.
  7. It is just sort of a suggestion to create a link underneath 'Forum Rules' on the index page that links to the thread for installation instructions for Paint.NET. I think that will help new users out a bit in finding the information they seek.
  8. I am presuming that by animation you are referring to something similar to my sig? White text on blue quickly fades to blue text on white?
  9. Rick said elsewhere that this is purely a GDI+ problem, so don't be expecting a fix any time soon
  10. Yes. Perhaps make this plugin tabular? One tab displays the current UI, the other tab for editing categories and fields?
  11. Yes, it is my first animated sig. And the first animated PNG sig that I have seen around these parts (that means that IE fanboys won't be noticing the greatness of my sig )
  12. *Hugs Simon* Anyways, more information about my thoughts and feelings tomorrow.
  13. Alright, I will help out here: open up Paint.NET. Next, create a New Layer ( :AddNewLayer: ). On this new layer, use the Rounded Rectangle tool with your desired settings (i.e. color, width, and fill type) and draw a rounded rectangle to the preferred demensions. Then pull out your Graident Tool. Be sure you are using the Linear gradient type and your Gradient Tool is in Transparency Mode. Starting from the top, drag the gradeint all the way down. Next, create a new layer and fill this layer with your content. Before flattening, delete the bottom white layer if necessary. minitut>
  14. It has been recommended before that you not use Paint.NET for printing. Instead, save the image and print it from MS Paint or other alternative Image Viewer/ Editer. That way size, quality, and all printers are supported.
  15. Tha... tha... that is very disgusting. If that ever gets packaged into a pack of Skittles, you let me know so that i know not to buy Skittles ever again
  16. Well, I really just recommend typing up an @ symbol on a new layer. Then, just remove the white background layer. From there, save it as a PNG and you should be good to go.
  17. Very nice work Oma! I like the colors and the nice abstract placed behind the slipper. I can't really say it looks like full fledged glass, but I can't create glass either so who am I to judge? Anyways, keep up the hard work!
  18. I also recommend making sure the file has finished downloading first. And if that mine nor Hitman's posts help you, then try downloading 3.35 Beta 2
  19. Awesome. Cannot wait to get my hands on this (Although, another member did make a fire plugin as well ) But they are different, my mistake
  20. You already asked about this. Why twice? viewtopic.php?f=12&t=24979
