  1. I use Filezilla on a normal basis, however it was my hope that I could open up images in Paint.NET from my server using Explorer without having to jump through hoops by opening Filezilla, downloading, editing, Filezilla, uploading
  2. I have no idea how I would change that via Explorer I am actually accessing my FTP in the load box through Explorer. I will look into this some more
  3. When trying to open an image in Paint.NET that is available through FTP Paint.NET keeps throwing me an error saying that the Image Type Cannot be Recognized. Is it not withen Paint.NET's power to open up images located on a FTP server?
  4. It depends on the form. And yes, to retain transparency I recommend saving in a .PNG format (or a .GIF format, but that is only limited to 256 colors)
  5. Switch the mode to " :ShapeInterior: " instead of " :ShapeOutline: "
  6. Yup, it will not run on my Vista machine. FastPluginInstall freezes up when I click 'Install'
  7. On a new layer, draw a filled rounded rectangle. Now pull out your Gradient tool and swtich it to :AlphaChannel: mode instead of :AllColorChannels: mode. Be sure it is also in Linear mode. Now, draw a gradient starting at the top all of the way down. Hope that helps!
  8. Alright, to recreate this set your pixel width to 1px, turn aliasing off, select your rectangle tool with the Draw Filled Shape with Outline option and draw a rectangle. The outline only outlines the bottom and the right of the image. I am using PdN v3.35 and will post screenshots and a Wink video if needed.
  9. I have this problem most of the time with my tablet. From what Rick has said in the past, only Wacom made tablets are fully supported in Paint.NET
  10. I don't see it costing any more than it does now. Remember that WPF is a client-side platform and applications are stored on the user's computer after first download. Sabrown, what is one of the reasons Rick hasnt decided to host a forum on his server? Because his server isnt prepared for that type of thing. And if the GetPaint.NET server is not prepared for a forum, who says it is prepared to run an application for thousands of users seemingly at once? And he isnt talking about client side, he is talking about Paint.NET through a web browser if I am correct.
  11. There are multiple reasons as to why Paint.NET will never go online, at least by Rick's hands. Namely because Rick is one man, and Paint.NET is - for the most part - developed by one man. Changing Paint.NET to use WPF would require some major rewrites, then it would cost money to host it on a server, and then storage for saving, and incredible amounts of bandwidth. Plus, Rick is a smart man and knows that we want v4.0 first.
  12. Hello, Tony F. A program (freeware) to use for 3D modelling of landscapes would have to be Terragen, allowing for a paintbrush style of lowering and rasing the gound level of a landscape then generating it. I hope that helps somewhat.
  13. Good luck. Pyrochild has abondoned the forums.
  14. I just recreated in about ten steps, so explore the possibilities first.
  15. Read the title of this forum: Tutorials- Publishing Only
  16. Confirmed. A good demension to try this out on would be a 20x800 image. And I am not sure about I Like Pi, but I am using v3.35
  17. For those of you who want to go ahead and keep playing SOTW while this one rots away, jump on over to CMD Tackboard
  18. Wait wait wait: are you saying the Paint.NET UI is to cluttered? And you would rather have GIMP UI qualities? The Paint.NET UI is amazing, and the GIMP UI is cluttered, disorganized, and doesnt make sense.
  19. Confirmed. Same error report and cause.
  20. Very nice, OMA! Two thumbs up, and I reported your thread
