  1. @Ncfan52: I hope you dont mind me giving some critisism, as I would expect the same... I dont like the font choice. Personally, if you want a proffesional program you are going to have to kick it ol' M'soft way using Tahoma or that other M'soft font that has slipped my mind. Right now, it seems childish fontwise, even though it isnt Comic Sans. Bummer. My Soul Media player was becoming way to much. The amount of glass and extreme amounts of time I had to poor into reflections for simple menu items made the whole thing unbearable. So I have changed my app into something way cooler, and way easier. I might post what work I had put into Soul later tonight.
  2. I understand your point, BoltBait. In fact, I realized it near the end of my post
  3. Yes they do, but again: I would much rather have Admins deal with locking threads, aiding users New and Old, and maintaining the peace that this forum has to offer instead of creating an unaliased logo for the forums
  4. One thing that has more or less been iratating me lately is that Paint.NET Auto Assumes that if I turn the visibility of a Layer to 'off', that I want to work on the layer beneath. I would find it much appreciated if this feature was removed, or at least be able to disable it. Thanks!
  5. Oh wait, never mind. I wasnt sure what you were talking about for a second. Those are due to aliasing issues, for instance drawing a white rounded rectangle on a black backgroud and then using the magic wand to remove it. Draw your rounded rectangle on another layer and then delete the background color.
  6. Perhaps this may be a cause of corrupted images, Sabrown? It wouldnt hurt to add your own error handling for corrupted images, even if this is not the reason. Edit: Remove all of your images from your Custom Brushes folder in your Paint.NET User Files and then try to run the effect.

That is very good! Five stars outta five! Edit: the smaller one looks loads better
  8. There are no particular methods of simply importing a text file. Your easiest option here would simply be copy and past, and then format. The current text system in Paint.NET isnt as strong as some would like
  9. I say publish Displacement. Your version of it is just flat out amazing. A good way to look at it is Alpha Mask is to Channel Mask as Bleek's Displacement is to Your Displacement
  10. Hello, SmashManiac, welcome to the forums. We actually have a plugin available that does just as you are asking known as Selective Palette by Curtis. Enjoy!
  11. What you want to do is find the "Alpha Mask Import" plugin. Oh, poor BoltBait. Living in the past  I recommend Channel Mask over Alpha Mask
  12. Duplicate the layer three times. On each layer, extract one seperate channel and set the top three layers blending mode to Additive. Edit the Alpha channel, merge the four layers. Simple.
  13. There is a plugin that extracts channels from an image called Extract Channel.
  14. Run Paint.NET as an administrator. My guess as to the reason this is happening is that an installed brush is located in a location that Paint.NET does not have permissions to use. However, this is a theory only to be proven correct if you dont have the same problem when running Paint.NET as an administrator.
  15. There are multiple methods. For instance, if you select the areas of pimples and acne and run the Red Eye effect in the Photo Submenu, that will remove the discolorization. However, other methods of blurring, using a blur brush technique, and others may prove a viable solution. It just comes down to the picture really and where the pimples and acne are placed
  16. Alright. Hopefully as a solution to the problems, I have added a mirror location at Mediafire
  17. Why have I not thought about this before? One of the most requested Custom Brushes Plugin is templates or viewing the layers underneath, however if you use the plugin on the template layer, hit CTRL+Z, add a new layer, and hit CTRL+F you dont need that feature anymore. Sorry for the somewhat random speak.
  18. I wouldnt say that. He only tought how to add the rainbow fractal but not the splintered wood background in his actual sig. There is always more than meets the eye
  19. Hola! Welcome to the community. I would like to mention that speaking in a language other than English on these forums is strictly prohibited, and I recommend using Google Language Tools to translate your texts into English. Now on to business: as of a few days ago, the Paint.NET Help Files now have a custom translator. You can view these files here, or press F1 on your keyboard when using Paint.NET
  20. Surely we can call that the old days because since then we have added a completely new section to the forum
  21. Well, with the MSC clogging up my time it has become difficult to manage my Paint.NET time. I have at or around four Saved Drafts that need published in the Tutorials section, and will most likely take up the large majority of time before anything else. However, if things change I will work on it
  22. Yes, yes it is. I might contact the author about porting his tutorial to PdN.
