  1. Piotr has a history of trolling the PdN forum. He likes to compare paint.net to other tools (always in their favor) and post links to tutorials and plugins for other tools. I haven't banned him yet, but I have warned him.
  2. You need to do this: Download THIS (.NET Framework v4.6.2) and install it. THEN try installing paint.net again.
  3. Read this thread: Starting on step 4, follow each step and post your progress here.
  4. It will eventually. There is a lot of Try/Catch blocks to get through... and those things are slow. If you want to speed it up, press the PrtSc key.
  5. I think Rick has a fix for the "plugins disappearing from the menus" bug. You should see this fixed in the next release. Now, that may not be the root of the problem you're seeing. We'll just have to wait and test under the next release.
  6. Can you give exact steps to reproduce?
  7. Suggestion: Reword all the circular references: When defining an acronym, spell out what all the letters stand for. Example: Dynamically Linked Library Makes an image appear if the outlines were drawn with an ink pen and colored in with colored pencils.
  8. When first installed, paint.net does not put any files in the Effects folder. That is a wonderful problem to have. It is so much better than having NO plugins, wouldn't you agree? Sounds like a great suggestion. As everyone else is busy, perhaps you could take on that project. Imagine how much of a plugin expert you'd be once you've completed it! You see, we are all volunteers here, so when someone sees a need it is best to fill it yourself. That said, there is one other alternative you could try: Once loaded, it can search the list of plugins by keyword and keywords are much more rich than just the name of each plugin. Just know this, if you insist on keeping the megalo pack installed... we will not help you further.
  9. My suggestion is to go into your temp directory and delete everything... Try this in a DOS box: c: cd \Users\FAMILY\AppData\Local\Temp\ rmdir /S ScintillaNET
  10. Please follow steps 4-8 of the following page: https://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/110411-common-install-uninstall-crash-problems-and-solutions/ Describe the results at the end of each step.
  11. You should have created a new blank layer on top of everything else and pasted your text on to that layer.
  12. Select what you want to keep. Adjust your selection Press the crop button
  13. Yeah, I'm an Admin (with highest security levels) and I get the same error.
  14. Select what you want to keep. Adjust your selection Press the crop button
  15. It looks to me to be a mixture of: 1) Tools > Gradient 2) Tools > Shapes 3) Effects > Stylize > Emboss 4) Effects > Blurs > Fragment I don't have exact steps for you, sorry. But, play with those and see what you get.
  16. I know that the videos are subtitled in English. I only said that because my heritage is German. After all, my last name is Issel. My German is limited to one phrase: Ein Bier bitte My wife, on the other hand, speaks fluent German. She lived there for a year during college.
  17. Thank you! That is a nicely done video! Feel free to explain my other effects. You have a very nice voice. (I wish I understood German.)
