  1. I can't believe you're complaining about this. This was an automatic job done by a piece of software (amazing software)! So, you have two small areas to clean up manually. Do you not understand how incredibly complicated an algorithm like this is? That fact that it looks even remotely normal is an amazing feat! It's comments like this that make me want to give up coding all together. ...NEVER SATISFIED...
  2. It's not that hard. If you download my plugin pack, it comes with an installer that will do it for you.
  3. If you have my plugin pack installed, maybe you used Effects > Fill > From Clipboard (or From File)... If not, maybe you used Layers > Rotate / Zoom and checked the Tiling checkbox and moved the zoom to the left?
  4. Rick looked at this and gave us his blessing to do this. So, any time one of the competition hosts wants to run this... go for it! Thoughts on how long the competition should last?
  5. Actually, this could be VERY likely. Let's ask the expert... @null54, has there been a change here?
  6. Is this really necessary as you can always adjust the line width, end positions, and curvature before finalizing the line?
  7. There is an adjustment in my plugin pack you might try. It is called Hue/Saturation+ and it is a conditional Hue/Saturation adjustment.
  8. When you save as jpg, what is the quality slider set to?
  9. Please try this build to see if you still have the same problem: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/116743-paintnet-4213-alpha-build-7497/
  10. Why not just download any zip files and scrape the included DLL files for the version information? Well... I, for one, have several versions of my plugin pack available (one for 3.5.11, etc.) and the DLL versions would be all over the place.
  11. Paste to a new layer. Use Ctrl-Shift-V instead of Ctrl-V.
  12. I remember making one of these before... can't find it though. EDIT: Found it... From here: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/113241-new-paintnet-logo/?do=findComment&comment=568662
  13. The easiest way to do it is to make sure you've installed my plugin pack (link in signature). Then, type your text on it's own layer and run the Effects > Object > Outline effect to put an outline around your text. Then, run the Effects > Object > Shadow effect to put in a drop shadow. Of course, if you have my plugin pack installed, you can look at Effects > Text Formations > Creative Text Pro or Effects > Text Formations > Outlined / Gradient text. Hope this helps!
  14. Use a selection tool: to select the area you want to color. Choose your beginning and ending color as your primary and secondary color. Use the gradient tool to draw your gradient. If that's not what you want, just show us a picture of your desired effect and we'll walk you through recreating it.
  15. In your example, you changed two pixels from white to black. In my example, I changed two pixels from black to white. If the background is transparent instead of white, this MIGHT be possible. But, then what happens if the two original pixels are different color... what color would you make the new pixels? You see, this thing you're asking for is VERY complicated.
  16. If we're talking about 2 color images (black and white), you can do your resize with bicubic and then use Brightness/Contrast to bring back the 2 colors.
  17. You want your cake and eat it too... The "quality" of bicubic is BECAUSE of the pixel blending. Without pixel blending you get Nearest Neighbor. You can't have it both ways. That said, you might be able to do something with Floyd-Steinberg Dithering... resize with Bicubic then Dither your image. If you need a custom palette added to the plugin, I might be able to help with that.
  18. There's a plugin in my plugin pack (link in sig) that might do what you want. It's found under Adjustments > Transparency.
  19. There is an irfanview plugin that reads Paint.NET files... I wonder if that source is available.
  20. That's another cool idea. Both bigger canvases to work on which is nice The Logo competition seems like decades ago. Jeez where is time going I have an idea... Paint.NET banner ad (468x89 or smaller only) Winner(s)? will run at the top of https://BoltBait.com until I get tired of looking at it. I'll put it on my site at no cost to Rick. (Animated gif/png acceptable, but not required--static image is fine. No flash/HTML5 of course, this is a Paint.NET contest! Image must be made in Paint.NET, plugins allowed. Thoughts?
  21. Press your windows key and type "about" and press enter. This will open up your Settings screen to the About page. Under the section "Windows specifications" see which Edition and Version you have. On my PC, it looks like this: If your Version is lower than 1909, run Windows Updates until it is up to that number. THEN, try to install Paint.NET again.
  22. You could copy over your Shapes, Effects and FileTypes folders, but I recommend downloading new copies of all your favorite plugins. This way, you only download the stuff you actually use. Plus, you get any updates that have been posted since you originally installed those plugins. For example, if you are a fan of my plugins, I just this week posted an update to my plugin pack with bug fixes and new effects you might miss if you copy across instead of download new.
