I have rewritten this effect from scratch. The effect now shows up in the Effects > Object submenu.
It now includes a third slider to control the strength of the effect:
Try this:
Magic wand a spot for some color.
Switch to a lower layer and fill that with the desired color.
Press ESC to deselect.
Object > Outline that layer with the desired color for a width of 1 or 2 pixels.
In step 2, adjust your brightness down lower until the random noise is gone. Your outline will be narrower, but don't worry about that now.
After you finish with all the steps above, run the Object > Outline plugin to adjust the width of your lines.
Do it like this:
1. Load your picture
2. Adjustments > Brightness / Contrast
Set Contrast all the way up and adjust the brightness for desired effect.
3. Set your primary color to white
4. Run my Strip Primary Color plugin
Just try rebooting your laptop and trying the install again.
The installer probably thinks that another copy of the installer is already running. A reboot will take care of that.
Yeah, don't use the crop tool in that case.
Do your selection as you described, then...
Instead, of using the crop tool, press Ctrl-I to invert your selection, then press the Delete key.
I can draw a perfect circle with the line tool by using only 2 lines.
The trick is to draw the line, then immediatly right click on one of the nodes to turn it into a bezier curve. With a bezier curve you can easily draw a half circle by placing the 4 nodes in a box shape. :u:
You can't quite draw a perfect circle with only 1 line. But, you can get close.
This is a question that can never be answered with a specific font.
The best font for one signature wouldn't necessarily be the best font for another sig.
The bottom line for me is: Font choice depends on the other thematic elements and the overall feel of the target graphic.
See each of those icons with a file cabinet in a vice? Right-click on those (one at a time) and choose "Extract to here..." in the context menu that appears.
You see, those files are compressed and Paint.NET can not read compressed files. By choosing "Extract..." you are uncompressing them. This should result in more DLL files in your Effects folder.
Be sure to "unblock" each file, if necessary.
