  1. Cussing is a quick way to get yourself banned from this forum. I suggest you read the rules: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3446
  2. Man! I've been wondering about this for a while now... Good info. Thanks!
  3. Open Type fonts are not supported within Paint.NET. Paint.NET only supports True Type Fonts. Now, if this IS a true type font, try restarting Paint.NET and it should pick it up. And, before you ask... No, there will not be support for Open Type fonts in the next version of Paint.NET.
  4. Your request is somewhat vague. What kind of banner do you want to make? How big? What style? Do you have an example of the type of banner you wish to make?
  5. Not possible. Sorry. Paint.NET is not an automation tool.
  6. Agreed. I promoted it to the galleria. (I'll move it to PDN hosting in a couple of days since I can't do that from here.)
  7. Your best bet is to add a new layer and use the line tool to "draw" over the top of your source image. Now, you could use the built-in Effects > Artistic > Ink Sketch to help you find where the natural lines are.
  8. Try it this way: http://www.cmdsketchpad.com/tutorial.php?tutid=3
  9. OK, how about following the last part of this tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=26969
  10. I'm not really sure what you're asking for here. Perhaps, you would get more responses if you posted a link to an image who's style you want to copy. Or, you could try this tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=27096
  11. In steps 6 and 7, instead of using motion blur, I would recommend flattening the image, use the magic want to shift click a red area, then using Selection > Bevel which can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=26238 Using a lighter shade of red for the highlight color and a darker shade for the shadow color, you can really add some depth to the lettering.
  12. Here is another way to look at it: If you open your Effects menu and it starts to look sparse... download a few plugin packs and fill that Effects menu with TONS of new toys to play with!
  13. Yes. Accedentally!!! This may explain it. But, probably not.
  14. The Photo is great.. but to be honest, i don't like the old effect, i just dosn't look right to me. :? Here is the photo without edits: http://boltbait.deviantart.com/art/San- ... -110085579
  15. I was in San Francisco the other day. Here's a photograph I took: I sort of followed the tutorial on making a picture old... I guess I don't follow tutorials very well.
  16. Bad idea. Plugins are what make Paint.NET truly great! The tutorials are the main motivator in getting people to install plugins. We should keep it that way.
  17. You can see yourself by looking in the help file. Or, simply rename your "Effects" folder to "EffectsX" (or some such) and run Paint.NET to see for yourself. Just remember to rename it back when you are done.
  18. He means to use a different paint program (like Microsoft Paint) to render the text. Then, copy-and-paste that into Paint.NET as a bitmap for further tweeking.
  19. Bah! I thank you because no one else wrote the wrapper!
