  1. Just checked a few of my PostScript Type 1 fonts, and almost all of them differentiate the 'a' when in Roman or Italic, and the 'f' as well, which has a descender when italic. So it's not a PDN problem - it is drawing them correctly. And it's not a font problem, that is how they are designed Phew! Pleased the Lightbulb went on... Brian
  2. But it all depends whether he is using a Roman font, and then slanting it. Which is not the same as a font drawn as italic in the first place But you can disagree if you feel the need to - I was only trying to point out the differences Brian
  3. There are two types of italic - roman letters slanted electronically, and true italics, eg, italics that are generated as italic when the font is first written Brian
  4. You could try this uninstaller, as well https://geekuninstaller.com/download?version=1.5.2.165 Brian
  5. There is a feature in G'MIC > Artistic > Stringify that does something similar, but you would have to play with it, I reckon Brian
  6. Never used this plugin before - downloaded it, installed it into Effects, no plugin errors, and - hey, it works! Brian
  7. Well, it opened for me. I have saved it as a zip file for you Brian miszczeniec_mapa.zip
  8. I see that WhelanB has not visited the Forum for three years and, anyway, his Plugin was for PDN 4 Brian
  9. xod, I was quite successful with my first attempt with your plugin, but found it would be helpful to add more nubs in when needed. Good stuff! Brian
  10. Hmm, bit off-topic here, but do we really need the .pdb files? After an update, I always scan through the PDN folders, and remove them. I've not had the men in white coats knocking on the door yet! Brian
  11. Rick, You know better than myself with these things, but I have had a few failures with the NVidia site, in that it identified my GPU but failed to install correctly when downloading their selected driver. Never had any bother with the NVCleanstall application Brian
  12. Have you tried NVCleanstall from https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-nvcleanstall/ Works great, and picks the correct driver for your GPU Brian
  13. Yes, yes and yes! Will have another go... Thanks, Pixey
  14. Just installed the update, which I have done many times before. Nothing happens when I select the G'MIC option Brian
  15. Downloaded, still showing as 3.3.2 Brian
  16. While not exploding with technical wizardry, this heading for my daughter-in-law's printed material for her beauty treatment salon came together exactly as I wanted it - the font, colours and 3-D effect. Just what she wanted Brian
  17. I had a quick try, using two layers. This was the result, and I am an absolute novice! Brian
  18. It is possible to rename an icon with the .cur extension, irrespective of the icon size - you get lucky most of the time! Brian
  19. Lynxster, Just checked my plugins, and I think it is 'IcoCur.dll' that I was meaning. Gives more options than the 'IconCreator' - thanks for checking, though, as I was very unsure Brian
  20. Klutz, There is definitely a FileTypes plugin that does all the various icon sizes - can't for the life of me think of the name - because I use it a fair bit of the time. Download what is there, and experiment Brian
  21. Thanks for that - no biggie. I am constantly in awe of our Plugin developers, and the stuff they can come up with. Well over my head! Brian
