  1. Is this the same as Circle Text? Because my Circle Text plugin doesn't have an Options tab.
  2. Thank you. This is similar to what I'm looking for. But Closer to the top and curved to match the red/blue area.
  3. I'm looking for a plugin that will position text along a curve. I've tried Gravity and Circle Text. But neither of them can position text along a curve that is close to horizontal. I need more control over the degree of curvature. Seems like a simple thing. But I can't find a plugin that does this? I'm making a project that is roughly a 24" circle and want to position text to follow the contour. So it won't be a real steep curve. EDIT: If this is not possible in PDN, is there a plugin that will create cloud shapes that text can be entered into? Thanx
  4. I'm trying to post an old photo to reddit to be repaired and restored. The image needs to be at the highest quality while still maintaining a strict size limit ~ 20mb. The problem I'm having is that when I save an image with Paint.net, the file size shown in that program and the saved file size once it's on my PC are different. Even if I maintain aspect ratio and adjust it to the size I need, it's always different after it is saved. For instance. I loaded a photo into PDN that was 35.5mb. I clicked on Image > Resize. Checked By Absolute Size > Maintain Aspect Ratio. I reduced the pixels from 5100w to 1949w. Bringing the New Size to 19.9mb. But when I saved a new file to my desktop, did a right-click Properties, the new size was 5.96mb. Can someone please tell me how to change the file size in mb's using PDN to the exact size I need?
  5. Hey all, Here's the scenario. I'm editing a photo of a friend to make it look like the tongue of Gene Simmons is sticking out of his mouth ~ He's a HUGE KISS fan. I've already used the Magic Wand tool to isolate the tongue and mouth of a Gene Simmons picture (attached). And made adjustments to match my photo. But it looks very odd when I copy and paste it onto my friends face because the edges are so sharp and the photo is slightly out of focus. I've been searching for days on how to just blur the edges of this. But every tut I've seen contains a long list of plugins and instructions that I guess I'm just too thick to understand. Is there no single, simple plugin that can do this on an irregular shape image, or is in right under my nose? Lol! - Dean -
  6. So, for whatever reason, this plugin has absolutely no effect on this photo. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6GL-AeS7hM6eUtHWDJTUEREQlk/view?usp=sharing Thanx, - Dean -
  7. That's an impressive plaque. But how did you manage to get Mike AND Tristan into that little box?? HA! Actually, I just used the word plaque to illustrate the type of affect I was looking for. That being a polygon shape that looks like it's actually attached to the front. The image I'm wishing to attach is much like your JIM100361 tag at the bottom of your posts. A fixed rectangular image file with graphics and text. And I only want to adjust the shape of that rectangle to match the contours of the caskets front panel and be able to size it a bit smaller so it doesn't cover the entire area. The attached file is similar to what I'm trying to do.
  8. Thank you, that explains that process. But I neglected to mention one other thing ~ thick here too. The polygon I wish to paste to the casket is actually an image file with text in it. So I need the entire image skewed, tilted, stretched, whatever, so that it resembles a plaque attached to the front of the casket. Does that make more sense?
  9. That tool seems to do the same thing that Rotate / Zoom can do. I'm not having a problem with changing the shape of a rectangle to a trapezoid. I can't figure out how to copy the dimensions of the trapezoid and paste it in the second image without the polygon showing up in a white rectangle. I don't fully understand how layers work. And when I try to copy and paste things, the only way I know how is to use the rectangular selection tool. I don't see any freeform selection tool like you might find in MS Paint. I'm probably not explaining it very well either, I'm sorry for that. I've attached a file of the image I'm trying to paste to. As you can see, the front panel of the casket is a polygon. I need to change the shape of the rectangle to match these dimensions so that it looks like it's actually attached to it. I wonder if there is a tutorial on how to do this or an online explanation of how all the tools operate. Thanx again for your patience. - Dean -
  10. I love Paint.net. It's the only image editor I use now and has pretty much every feature I need in an image editor. But today I'm attempting a project I can't seem to find the right tools for. I'm trying to copy and paste a rectangle onto another image. But the object in the image I'm pasting to is tilted slightly. So I need to find a way to change my copied rectangle into a trapezoid that will make it look natural on the new image. Under LAYERS - ROTATE / ZOOM, I found some tools that seem to work. But now I need to select only the trapezoid to paste to the new image. The only cropping tools I can find only allow a rectangular selection. I can't find a tool to choose a corner to corner irregular selection. Does Paint.net have such a tool or is there a plugin I can download for this process. Thank you for any info you can give me. - Dean -
