  1. Thanks for replying - pressing Filter Update just leaves the filter by 'samj, which is called Twisted Rays - no new one Brian
  2. Just done an update to my G'MIC filters - the interface for the Twisted Rays looks very different to the one posted above - a lot more options, and multi-language! Just not the same at all . . . Brian
  3. Pixey, Been there, done that! Maybe the .8bf files are not compatible, anyway. If anyone could share a site where I can find compatible 8bf files, that would be welcome. Some of mine have come from my IrfanView 64-bit installation Brian
  4. Hi, everything up to date, but when I run some of the .8bf filters, I am getting these errors: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (126): The specified module could not be found. at PSFilterLoad.PSApi.PluginModule..ctor(String fileName, String entryPoint) at PSFilterLoad.PSApi.LoadPsFilter.LoadFilter(PluginData data) at PSFilterLoad.PSApi.LoadPsFilter.RunPlugin(PluginData data, Boolean showAbout) at PSFilterShim.PSFilterShimWindow.RunFilter(IWICFactory imagingFactory, IDirect2DFactory direct2DFactory) The PSFilterPdn folder is here: C:\Program Files\paint.net\Effects\PSFilterPdn And my filters are here: C:\Program Files\paint.net\Effects\Filters Any ideas? Or have I downloaded the wrong setup file? Brian
  5. Didn't realise this. I also have two copies of the installer, from the latest update: Brian
  6. Now this is real camouflage! Spot the Grandson trying it out . . . Brian
  7. Hi, Using CodeLab v6.8, I get this error, which stops me from compiling as a DLL: 'EffectEnvironmentParameters.GetSelection(Rectangle)' is obsolete: 'There's no need to use this method. Use Selection.RenderRegionLegacy instead, or Selection.RenderBounds if you just need the bounding box.' Brian
  8. The first thing I do after updating PDN is to look for any Plugin errors. If I can, I fix them by downloading an updated Plugin - if I can't, I delete them, and wait for a Plugin update to be posted Brian
  9. G'MIC has two options in the 'Color' section, 'Channels to Layers' and 'Decompose Channels' and other options concerning Layers Brian
  10. Maybe dpy will take a look at his code - I only use them, I don't code 'em! Edit: I have 201 TTF fonts in the Windows Fonts folder, but the plugin only shows 171 Brian
  11. Works for me - G'MIC 3.2.6. Have you tried updating the filters? Oh, I get it now. It was changing to all black. The way I got out of it was to quit PDN, and reload the image into G'MIC - worked then Brian
  12. Take a look at dpy's TextPlus.dll - I think this is what you need Brian
  13. I was curious, so I thought I would try this. I noticed that if you select Full Page Photo, it does rotate the image slightly to the right. But if you choose 13 x 18 cm, it shows in the preview correctly But the Fit Picture to Frame option is mystifying. I would have thought with this option being clicked, it would fit the image to the preview frame. But no, it appears to be outside the bounding frame - so you unclick the option to fit the image I also saw (I have an Epson Stylus SX235W) that it picks up the Paper size correctly, but in Paper type there is no option for plain paper, just photo paper Anyway, I managed to print the image, but it only printed the image as an outline Brian
  14. I used to use OCR at work on a Mac. Expensive software, but the blurb said it was 99% accurate, which sounds great. But, to me, that meant one word in every 100 would be wrong. And so it proved Brian
  15. There is a filter in the G'MIC 3.2.5 'Frames' section called Old Photograph, which does a pretty good job Brian
  16. I couldn't find Toehead's theme. Where can I find it, please? The Dark Theme is a bit too dark for me! Brian
  17. No, my version is 5.0.3 5.3.8482.43103 Brian
  18. Pixey, Just tried a selection from each of the Filter list, and they all worked for me (G'MIC 3.2.2 and PDN 5.0.3) Brian
  19. XnView has a great batch conversion built in, which will do what you require on single and multiple images, and you can save actions to a script, and then re-use it Brian
  20. Just recompiled it with CodeLab 6.8. Doesn't show a Plugin error. No idea what it is doing! Drop the DLL into your Effects folder, and it should show up in Effects > Photo Brian Whitepoint.zip
  21. I wonder if Bert Speggly really meant a circle like a pie chart, like this one I drew quickly with the Spoked Wheel effect? Brian
  22. I'm running Windows 10 Pro, Version 22H2, OS Build 19045.2486, and have no problems running PDN 5 Brian
