cjmcguinness
Thanks, great tutorial!!!Heres my attempt!! Keep them coming!! ihave2feet Pretty good work for your first post in the forum; glad you enjoyed the tutorial. You managed to replicate the background exceptionally well, considering it is not part of the tut - however, you need to work on the sizes and angles of some of your chips, as well asthe resulting reflections. But still pretty impressive for your first attempt. Keep up the good work. -CJ

heri
[offtopic]cjmcguinness, in your sig, the current one, you have linked into 3 different sites. How is this done, and what was used to achieve this? I am just curious as it might be possible to do this for a website banner to, so if you could help, please do.[/offtopic] Also, the tutorial is great, I have created cards so far, and my chips are on the way! snoewite
Here is what I got. I decided not to do the cards as of this point, and didn't do quite the fancy chips that you did. However, I am pretty pleased with what I got.
summer_782
Hey could you tell us how you make your dice? viewtopic.php?f=31&t=27074&hilit=different+sides+of+a+cube My sister has worked in a casino for the last 14 years, and she breeds boxers, so when I saw this tutorial I knew I had to make a custom set for her. Here's what I came up with. I'm not sure what happened with the chips, though. For some reason they don't really look like they are sitting on the table. I will have to do some work on this. EDIT: So, after a bit of work, this is what I came up with. I'm still not sure that I am happy with it, but I think it is a lot better than the last one. I love how much I have learned with this tutorial. I am learning so much about the Shapes3D plugin. I had no idea it could be used in so many ways. Thank you so much for that. @snoewite Thank you for the compliment. Yours is coming along quite well. Nice job.

Yours is coming along quite well. Nice job. Just an FYI: I used the cloud effect for the background. I didn't know if maybe that would help you achieve the look you are going for or not. I think that may be what was used on the original, I don't know. Just a guess. Thanks so much! I stopped working on it, and have moved on to some creations of my own. The who poker theme was starting to get on my nerves, a bit. Thank you so much for that. Here is a little example of what i have been working on. summer_782
Actually, I used Tile Reflection on purpose. I was trying to get the appearance of a glass top table. I felt it made the reflection on the table make more sense. I wasn't trying to duplicate yours or the original. I could tell that you used clouds. I also believe the original was done with a splinter blur. I was looking for something a little different.

I didn't say you were trying to duplicate anyone's.

Wizard1
Well done tut that uses several techniques/plugins to create an excellent effect. No problems, except for one issue that I haven't been able to get around. I can't seem to get text in the outer ring of the center portion to follow the curve of the chip (e.g. like the word "POKER" in the tutorial example). No matter how I do it - the text remains linear without the ability to curve. Is there something I can do to within PDN to get the text to curve as shown in the tutorial? Thanks.
