This would not be easy.  If you can find a similar image of the computer with the hands, then you could make a new banner over it.

To correct a common layman error: Text in an image cannot be edited or formatted. It's just colored pixels, just like the rest of the image, so it needs to be painted over to change it. As long as the surrounding areas are solid color, this is very easy. Otherwise it is usually easier to completely redesign the image in a similar form.

Probably not what the OP wants but, the fastest, easiest way to get the job done is to paint the white box solid white. Or... Place a solid white box over the text. Then there would be a translucent border.
