Go Roger Federer! Arguably the greatest tennis player of all time, seeking to win this US Open (in action now), to give him 11 majors! Mr Frojo
It looks good EnjoyYourLife, but I think you added a little too much blur, or at least to the text. Its really hard to read. Quote I'm still alive!
xalexx543x
I had some trouble but I got through it, I flattened it by mistake but could re-do it... Here is what I made for one of my Wicked (the broadway musical) forums..

timepants
Would someone please explain the vignette step? I can't get my picture to look the same as the sample. When I use 70 setting on Gaussian blur for the entire picture the picture is too blurry to see anything. If I only select the black border, it doesn't look the same as the other people's pictures either. I just want my edges to have that darkened look like everybody else. zolden
You need to add new transparent layer to the top. Then create the black border on this new layer. And only then you need apply Gaussian blur
lipper
As a new user of PdN this was one of the first tut's I tryed. Great tut and thank you Helio for taking the time to post it for everyone. Well now for my attemtemp at it. (nervously)
Pupperooni
Nice job!Could never get the blackish outline to work though.Anyways great tut, I used it to make a cool looking logo for my firm.
chrisjw37
ISelect the gradient tool, then the radial type gradient, and make sure that it is set to make a transparent gradient. Then left click and drag where you want the image to be more focused. Now, duplicate the background layer. Add Noise to it at a setting that you like. I put mine at 40 because I want it to look really aged. Hi mate I pinched part of your technique to make a small guide to have a sharp centre focused image with surrounding blur BUT I found this bit did not work: Then left click and drag where you want the image to be more focused. It only works when I right-click; maybe a new version of paint.net. I dunno. The idea is brilliant and Kudos to thee for the original work. Cheers chris Quote CjW Edit by Rick: Sorry, no flashy animations in avatars or signatures.

ryouchan1173
verry nice tutorial. I'm new to the forum so, I don't know how to upload an image .....But I would if I could!
distressed
@ryouchan1173: you only have to find uploading-websites like photobucket.com oder imageshack.us. There you upload your picture and you receive a link, which you can copy in this thread. When you want to show the picture directly, write: [ img]*link*[ /img] and for a hyperlink: [ url=*link*] this is my pic [ /url] (without spaces). (sry for my english, it's long ago I used it.)
