Fonts won't show up at all in Paint.NET

Recommended Posts

I've been able to install fonts with no problems in the past. After I installed them to windows, they'd show up in the fonts list in the text tool toolbar.

Now, it doesn't work anymore. When I install the font to my computer, in paint.net, it simply doesn't show up at all. (there isn't even a trace of it anywhere)

All of those fonts were TrueType fonts, and this new one I'm trying to install is also TrueType.

I've tried resetting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling paint.net, updating it, and reinstalling the font.

Also, the font works in every other program except for paint.net and Firealpaca, so it's not like I can just switch (I also can't use paint, because I need layers)

Is there anything else I can do?

Hello whatamIdoing, welcome to the forum

What is the name of the problem font and where did you get it?

Hello @whatamIdoing.  Sometimes this has happened to me after I've downloaded a font into my Windows Fonts Folder and doesn't show up in PDN.  Please go to your Font's Folder and look for the font in question, it may be greyed-out :|
