  1. It just looked like it was placed behind the cage. I tried to add it under the cage before I ran shape 3D but that didn't work either I'm sure there is a way to do it
  2. You must read minds jim100361, I was thinking of placing something inside the cage (a pdn logo was my first choice) but no matter where I placed it, it just didn't seem right. Interesting to read how other people interpret things Thanks for the feedback.
  3. Thanks dug. I like the tutorials too and try to add a little outside the box to them, I learn better that way. Although it will take a long time to reach the same levels as a lot of people on here, I find it a relaxing pass-time creating different things. The comps too I enjoy and try my best to step out of the normal to make a sig or an image Thanks for the encouragement dug
  4. I would prefer this method also a 1-5 scale is much better, the more complex the voting system, the more headaches will be caused by people not understanding how to vote in the correct way.
  5. Thanks for the link Welshblue I will have a go at that tutorial and make something better. Edit - I do notice a lot of lasso useage, is there a workaround? I think that tool hates me
  6. So now this comp has a scoring system AND a rating system? But still the rule of - A battle is over when one of the competitors have reached three legal votes. Confusion is bound to happen.
  7. Your gallery is amazing, very very good work showing just how much can be done with PDN and imagination, top work.
  8. Thanks nitenurse79, OddLlama & Jim100361, Your comments are encouraging @Jim100361 - The underwater one was made like that because I couldn't think of anything to add with the bubbles, I must admit, it makes me smile too, i'm glad you like it. 3D is something I'm trying to get more into, the glass block took some time to get right and then to find something to put in it too (I should have used fish ) one or two others are doodles of sorts. Thanks for your feedback, I do plan on getting more on here as I go along
  9. nitenurse79 - great 3D perspective, great colours and reflection, nice work Cool new avatar too by the way. chimay12321 - great concept, but a little bit ragged around the grass and scroll, not really sure why you have those two lines around the left hand side either nitenurse79 - 1 chimay12321 - 0
  10. nitenurse79 - great use of texture and angle, both on the frame and the letters, I like the reflection on your letters too. Noswad - Without that distracting paint splatter surround, it would have clinched it for me, the background & letter N fit perfect. nitenurse79 - 1 Noswad - 0
  11. Welshblue - I really like the simplicity of this piece, creative use of a great plugin. Sand33p - Stunning work, should be in a different comp, I do feel the loss of size has taken the edge off it. Tough call, but Welshblue get's my vote on this one. score now stands at; Welshblue - 1 Sand33p - 1
  12. Great tut, that can be an ideal springboard for abstract creativity. I Made this funky bowl shaped thingy out of it.
  13. Thanks nanettealsop, Red ochre and yellowman for the encouraging feedback. With regards to the snowman...it completely slipped my mind, I knew something was missing
  14. Cool image Red ochre, a great example of how this plug in may serve
  15. Thanks Helen, happy that you like them, some are just doodle type things really, but it's more about enjoying pdn.

I will guess it's gone to waste, the host has been on today, but still no sign of life on this.
  17. How do you get it to do that minners71 ? when I use it I get one side of the lasso as a straight line.
  18. Thanks Welshblue, I have updated the credit where it is due to Helen I have more to offer but, I hope to add new things as well, I don't want to just dig out my old stuff Thanks for the feedback.
  19. Thanks minners71. I will try my best to keep it up to speed and will edit the post to give Helen the right credit.
  20. nitenurse79, you do a good job as host on here and at the end of the day, people pull through To quote Welshblue here "It's all a bit of fun and some themes will have ooodles of entries and some will scratch around for them" During my time lurking around on here I have seen some sig of the week comps that I would have not been able to enter, not through lack of ability, but purely because I would not have the initial spark to start me off. I'm sure that some host's have not entered their own comps in the past, but you always do. I tip my hat to you (that's if I was wearing one)
