  1. Thanks nanettealsop, your right, it does make the image far better. As always people can see things others miss thank you for adding pop.
  2. Thanks deedeec102, my original plan was to have the lettering carved instead of embossed, but As always with my work, nothing ever goes to plan Once again, a great tutorial. Thanks for sharing
  3. Thanks sasha, nitenurse79, barbieq25 & Helen for your comments and feedback @barbieq25 - Your new sig and avi are very nicely made, I love the glow and colours on the 25, very clean.
  4. What I mean is my image is what I made using your tutorial, I just added a variation to the end result
  5. Interesting little tutorial A variation;
  6. nitenurse79 - great use of perspective, I do think the black void area could benefit some stars (noise perhaps?) but overall the end result is top work. Sand33P - Nice font and reflection, but as it is a work in progress, I don't see the reason for entering it in a comp I give nitenurse79 - 5 x I give Sand33P - 2 x So if I am correct it is now; nitenurse79 - 12 Sand33P - 10
  7. I just noticed this. Should we have entered seing how no one has reached 20 stars / points.. whatever s ? Yellowman only reached 15 and won.
  8. Never entered my head to do it that way pdnnoob, but now I know. Good tip to have, thanks
  9. Got to admit Welshblue, I'm the worst when it comes to adding the finer details (shadow / perspective etc) I think it's only when it is pointed out, that I really notice stuff like that missing. Any pointers are taken on-board and will help my images develop. Thank you for the tips and advice
  10. I will slap this one into the battle field - I might as well get beat by the best also all of it pdn.
  11. I think you would have to do this on two individual layers, and then position the second layers text in alignment with the first layer, there is no means of changing the colour of individual letters on the same layer (unless I'm proved wrong)
  12. I have powerpoint as part of the office 2007 suite, but after having a little look around it, I see no layers or means to edit a photo, unless I'm looking in the wrong place
  13. Cool thanks for that link doughty, this will save some time
  14. Not really sure how I announce image updates here, do I post a new pic (as I have done) on page one? or do I add new ones each time a page is created?
  15. Proper A twist on a Queen Classic. Total PDN work
  16. Nice tute, well written, here's my result
  17. Nice work dug Well done nanettealsop and to all who entered. Thanks for the votes, I am impressed to be a joint third placing with someone as good as minners71 Top work on running this comp nitenurse79 (I do think your entry deserved more than two votes though)
  18. Thanks nitenurse79. I try to mix and match my styles. The caged logo was more complex until jim100361 pointed me in the right direction, the image on this page was just a rough version of it, but the one in my gallery is the final version. Thank you for the feedback
  19. Is powerpoint just a presentation / slideshow kind of thing? I didn't realise you could do more with it. I should give it a try
  20. I have added a less rushed version of the above image and another new one. Thanks again to jim100361 for the help.
  21. A little bit of a rush job, but something like this?
