  1. Wow, Pixey! Nicely done! Here's wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and happy, healthy New Year!
  2. Shadows of the Heart: Nicely done, Barbie! You've woven a rich tapestry of color and shadow, and the flames around the edge really frame the work well. A bit of a departure from your usual style, but a welcome addition to a fantastic body of work. By the way, what font did you use?
  3. That is pretty freakin' awesome! You really captured his essence! I really must learn your technique!
  4. Skullbonz, That's really quite good. The only thing I can see that throws it off would be the reflections of the beer bottle and napkin holder. They should be going straight down and fading out toward the bottom. As it is, it looks like the reflections are flying off the table while the objects themselves remain stationary. Other than that, the lighting is great and the wood texture on the wall is superb. Nicely done.
  5. Okay, I'm not entirely sure why it took me so long to get around to your gallery, but I'm feeling like I've really missed out! You have some INCREDIBLE pieces on display here! All of your pieces are so strong, it's impossible for me to choose just one as my favorite. You have a wonderful style and flawless execution. I, for one, will definitely be keeping a close eye on your gallery from here on out.
  6. I'm going to have to go with Minners on this one, based on sheer cool factor (Master Chief kicks some serious boo-tay). Chimay's is pretty awesome, too, it just doesn't quite have the dramatic flare of Minners' piece. chimay12321-0 Minners-2
  7. Man, that's a tough choice! They're both strong sigs. But I think I'm going to have to go with Welsh on this one. I really dig the textures on the background. The text under Welsh's name looks like it would be right at home in a DuPont paint advert. Welsh-2 Nitenurse-1
  8. That's pretty darn cool! I'll definitely be putting this technique to use!
  9. Nicely done, Helen! Definitely brings a feeling of Autumn.
  10. I'm digging the overall flow of Ella's sig, and I REALLY like the text. It has a beautiful prismatic look to it. On the other hand, NN's sig is beautiful in it's simplicity and quite frankly, sometimes less is more. And for that reason, I'm going to have to give my vote to her. NN-3 Ella-1 Winner: Nitenurse 79
  11. You did an EXCELLENT job of cleaning up that last photo, Jim. I agree with Helen, it looks like that's the way it was taken. I'm digging the dolphin picture. Your creativity is second to none and your execution gets better with every project. If I may make one suggestion: one thing that I've found always helps my photo manips is this: after the whole thing is done to my satisfaction and I've flattened the image, I add just a hint of noise. It gives a nice "film grain" effect as well as helping all the elements blend together relatively seamlessly.
  12. Since a winner has been declared, I'm guessing the arena is open to a new challenger? If so, may I humbly submit:
  13. Nice! Here's my attempt. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc182/1stBass/metaltexttut.png
  14. NN-1 Zeri-1 While I do like the use of color in NN's sig, the TV screen-shaped picture on the right should contain a full face shot. As it is, it's a little off-putting. Zeri's sig has a nice flow to it, and considering that it's a "liquid" dagger, the lack of metallic texture doesn't matter so much. Even though it's a bit monochromatic, I'm really digging the end result.
  15. You've got some great ideas here and I'll definitely be keeping an eye on your gallery. I agree with Helen about the chair in Concrete Plaza. Other than that, it's a great image.
  16. Welsh: Thank you, good sir. I was pleasantly surprised that it made it into the Galleria. Minners: I've just finished watching season one of Breaking Bad, but thanks to Netflix, I intend to get caught up soon. My gf and I are absolutely hooked on it!
  17. @Barbieq and Helen: Thank you both! I've recently become a fan of AMC's Breaking Bad and decided to do a little homage to one of television's gutsiest shows.
  18. That is just awesome, Aislin! I agree with barbieq, the eye and the eyebrow could be just a tiny bit sharper and his right arm looks as though it could use just a little feathering. Other than that, this is a superb demonstration of your talent. You just get better with every project!
  19. Wow, BarbieQ! Thanks! That means a lot to me!
  20. Thank you, Aislin. However, I didn't use the ink sketch effect. I drew the picture by hand, then scanned it into my computer and colored it in Paint.NET. The inking was painstaking, especially because I drew it on newsprint, which is not ideal for ink drawings. Anyhow, I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for stopping by.
  21. Wow, Aislin! I'm really digging the new works! Tomy is absolutely adorable, and you've really captured a sense of life in your portrait of him. Taylor Lautner: Not really a fan, but your render is impeccable. I'm really digging the painted look and I look forward to seeing more.
  22. Helen: RoboCop actually did have a comic book series for a while. I think I had the first issue at one time. At any rate, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And thanks for the welcome back. Welsh: I would absolutely LOVE to see what you could do with a RoboCop project on here! I think if anyone could pull it off, it would be you.
  23. Well, I'm back! Finally got my internet issues straightened out. I almost forgot how to post pictures on here! Anyway, got a new pic for your viewing pleasure and more on the way. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc182/1stBass/RoboCopfullcolor.png
