  1. I've recently discovered this great band called Steam Powered Giraffe. They're very eclectic, and their shtick is just great fun. This is one of my very favorite songs from them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojYK6CW8gdw
  2. Awesome tut, as usual, Yellowman. Here's my attempt. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc182/1stBass/stonetext_zpsab2e3327.png
  3. Very nice. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc182/1stBass/lovelettersinthesand_zpsa15b4505.png
  4. Processed foods are also cheaper, which is a major selling point in this economy. It's sad that saving money takes precedence over good health, but that's the way it is for a lot of us.
  5. It's possible that I've posted this video before, but I'm not scrolling through nearly 150 pages to see, so forgive me if this is a repeat. I'm really digging the video and the song. It appeals to my affinity for all things Steampunk. There's also this one. Very sexy tune.
  6. Barbie, you never cease to amaze! Some very strong recent works. And as always, your gold and jewelry work is second to none. Midnight Oasis - Awesome. Monochromatic in the best sense of the word. It's amazing what one can accomplish using multiple values of one color. Speaking of colors, here's a video by Blender Guru about color theory. Pretty informative. Who Is To Save Me - A little disconcerting. Very effective. Curtain Call - I'm loving it! It would be a great backdrop for something dramatic.
  7. I know I'm a little late to this party, but I just have to say how awesome your work is, Helen! I'm loving the new pieces. I have to echo what Welsh said: your work never gets old!
  8. I'm sorry to hear about your son, BoltBait. You're just never quite ready to hear news like that. I've had my finger pricked a few times when I was donating plasma, and it's never pleasant. Here's hoping for a swift adjustment for you all. Welsh, that is a little disturbing. How old is your son?
  9. Merry Christmas, Helen! Love the new image. Colorful, cheerful and a perfect example of why you are the Queen of Shiny things.
  10. Been a while since I've posted anything here. Kemaru, I agree, it does feel good to actually draw a picture with one's hands once in a while, even though I haven't done that in what seems like ages. Rant: After witnessing the sheer market saturation of that silly Duck Dynasty, I can't help but wonder if George Lucas isn't behind their marketing campaign.
  11. If a man speaks in the woods and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

  12. Anyone seen this kid? His name is Avery Molek. Six years old and playing Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher" like it's nothing!
  13. One of my favorite songs from the Scorpions, from what I believe to be one of their finest albums. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBxiMYvLHzY
  14. My apologies to BoltBait, David.Atwell, Crazy Man Dan, Myrddin and Ash. I certainly did not mean to omit you guys from my list of thanks.
