  1. Awesome tut, as usual, Yellowman. Here's my attempt. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc182/1stBass/stonetext_zpsab2e3327.png
  2. Very nice. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc182/1stBass/lovelettersinthesand_zpsa15b4505.png
  3. Man! I go off the forums for a couple months and come back to find all this fantastic new talent! Really digging your work, ScifiGirl. In addition to having a great tool at your disposal, you also have the imagination required to make awesome works. I look forward to seeing what else you come up with.
  4. Barbie, you never cease to amaze! Some very strong recent works. And as always, your gold and jewelry work is second to none. Midnight Oasis - Awesome. Monochromatic in the best sense of the word. It's amazing what one can accomplish using multiple values of one color. Speaking of colors, here's a video by Blender Guru about color theory. Pretty informative. Who Is To Save Me - A little disconcerting. Very effective. Curtain Call - I'm loving it! It would be a great backdrop for something dramatic.
  5. I know I'm a little late to this party, but I just have to say how awesome your work is, Helen! I'm loving the new pieces. I have to echo what Welsh said: your work never gets old!
  6. Pretty sweet gallery you've got going here. As a Star Trek fan, I'm really digging the Romulan Warbird. Keep 'em coming, MR!
  7. Thanks, Helen. It was a lot of fun to make, even if it wasn't really all that difficult. It was kind of nice to finally make something again. I got discouraged and kind of gave up for a while after my external hard drive failed and I lost ALL of my files (including all of my PDN and Blender files). EVERYTHING is gone. That's what I get for putting my faith in technology and not making a backup of everything. Oh, well, you live and learn.
  8. Merry Christmas, Helen! Love the new image. Colorful, cheerful and a perfect example of why you are the Queen of Shiny things.
  9. FINALLY! Something new for my gallery. Just a little Christmas humor for your enjoyment. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc182/1stBass/santaclauswantedposter_zps72e1aa43.png
  10. If a man speaks in the woods and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

  11. PDN is a great tool, but it's nothing without imagination. And your imagination is freakin' awesome! You've got a great gallery here and I look forward to seeing more.
  12. Man! What great additions to your gallery, Dug! My Maudlin Career-Dark and disturbing, as any great art usually is. The Corner-As Sasha said, there's a lot going on there, but in a good way. Although you usually throw in a lot of imagery, your pieces never seem cluttered. Going Down-Like Barbieq, I'm not entirely sure what to make of it. But then again, maybe that's the point? All in all, these are great additions to an increasingly strong body of work.
  13. I suppose I would have known that had I read through the comments. At any rate, the blending is well done and the overall composition leaves nothing to be desired.
  14. I could have sworn I had commented on your gallery before, but apparently, I was mistaken. Well, it's time to remedy that. You've got some very strong works here, Drew. I've been away from the forums for a while, so I'm a little unfamiliar with this ClipWarp thing (is that a plugin?), but I'm digging the results I'm seeing and you seem to make judicious use of it. I look forward to seeing more from you.
  15. Thank you, DrewDale! My gallery has been pushed down a few pages because I haven't updated in quite a while, so it's no surprise you missed it. I appreciate you stopping by, though.
  16. Thanks, Daniels. I'm particularly proud of that one. After coloring RoboCop and Iron Man, it's very apparent to me why comic book publishers have entire teams dedicated solely to coloring.
  17. Yes, they are free, Helen, and I have remarkable air guitar skills! You might say I'm an air guitar virtuoso!
  18. Ha ha! Thanks, Helen. Believe me, I would love to be able to reach in and pull this baby out of the picture! I've wanted a Rickenbacker for years now!
  19. ShinichiOkazaki, thank you for the kind words. I hope I've inspired you to try something you haven't tried before.
  20. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc182/1stBass/Rickey_zps59654f45.png Here is a WIP. Seventy-five layers and counting. Yeesh! Aside from the neon Rickenbacker logo, it's 100% PDN.
  21. I'm embarrassed to say this is the first time I've gotten around to looking at your gallery. Some pretty strong works here. I particularly like the "Industrial Strength" pic. Very nice diamond plating on that one. I look forward to seeing the finished result on the Newton's Cradle. Oh, and BTW: the creepy gas mask dude from Doctor Who? Nice!
  22. Helen, Your pictures never cease to amaze me. You truly are the queen of glossy objects. I have to say, my favorite of your newer works is the Christmas ornament. Masterfully done! The way the wisps suggest the form of a Christmas tree inside the ornament is a stroke of genius. H is a close second. I really dig the effects on that one.
  23. Been a while since I was on here last. You've been busy! I am duly impressed with your progress. I like the way you play with the plugins to get various effects. It makes for some very nice abstract pieces. Look forward to seeing more!
  24. Nicely done, Pixie! You are showing yourself to be a true master of the medium. I particularly like the depth of field you put in it. It really focuses the viewer's attention where it needs to be...on Otto!
  25. Wow, Sasha, impressive start! You're a natural at this. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on your gallery. You have some really fresh ideas in which any one of us could find inspiration. Like a lot of others before me, I have to compliment your sig. It's very elegant in its simplicity. Nicely done!
