For something different...
This is the PDN icon made to look similar to the Windows 10 logo. It doesn't look too bad in the task bar either:
How to apply this icon (windows only):

1. Download the .ico image from here, place it in a convenient folder. 2. Right Click on the desktop-> New -> Shortcut and the input should be, C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.exe 3. Name it whatever and press finish. 4. Right click the newly created shortcut and press properties. 5. Press "Change Icon" 6. Navigate to the .ico file you downloaded and apply it. 7. Open Paint.NET from that shortcut. 8. Right Click it in the taskbar and pin it.

If you want to locate the newly pinned shortcut, you can access it by pressing the Windows Key + R and typing, %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar Then pressing enter.
