You could try out one of my tutorials, "Solar Atmosphere", more precisely part B.
In short, you'll want to create a narrow bright band of light going round the edge. For example (like, a very rough example):
Hopefully this technique will help, it isn't perfect mind you.

Love the pulsar, something you don't see very often with space art. Keep the ideas coming!

Have you tried turning Antialiasing off?

Solution #1 has completely stopped working for me unfortunately. The only way I get can equations to render if to use Solution #2.

Select the layer containing the hair colouring, go to Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation and bring down the saturation slider a bit.

I'm guessing the link should be https://imgur.com/a/6XmAD.
Might want to fix that.

Alternative: Hold down the Left button to drag out the selection rectangle, then add the right mouse button (both buttons are held down) = move the rectangle around. Release the right button to continue to alter the size
That's awesome!

The office 2016 ones, though basic, do look pretty good.
Better than delving into the depths of deviantart, which is a scary place.

@welshblue Thank you! Glad to see you're active again, and not just a quick one-time visit!
@TrevorOutlaw Of course I don't mind critique, that's how you improve. I based my design off photos of Jupiter (hence the swirling spot) and although I added more depth to that particular area, I agree I could've done more overall. Maybe just a touch more contrast too?
Also the lighting on the floor seems off because I made it waaaay too opaque. Whoops. Thank you, I do appreciate it!

@Woodsy Thank you, the depth was a challenge to pull off so I'm glad you mentioned it!
@Maximilian Thank you
@barbieq25 Thank you very much. Took me a good few days, but I promised a friend I'd put them in one of my pieces
@Seerose Thank you very much!

I do lost the 'frosted' effect you produced here. Nailed the colours

I haven't been to this gallery in a while, the tree..hamster..thing is amazingly cute and I think the owl is hypnotising me. Awesome work

@Beta0 Thank you very much! Sorry it took me so long (like 2 months) to reply, I've been busy...and lazy.
New piece on the first page titled 'Chimera'. Let me know what you all think!

The 3D effect on the apple stalks is brilliantly done. Great job!

I've missed a lot!
The kitty portrait is amazing. I love the detail you put into these, especially the ears and eyes. And the perfume bottle is so sparkly I might add it into one of my spacescapes. It's awesome

@Eli Thank you! Even thinking of space has the effect on me. I feel very, very small.
@Pixey Thank you 'Poppy' is actually the nickname I have for my current girlfriend of a few years now Same one I made 'Joy' after.
@Woodsy Thanks, took me long enough to get there!
@Maximilian Would you say...Out of this world?
@lynxster4 That's exactly what nebula are! Thank you!
@Seerose Thank you very much!
@LionsDragon Thank you! Although the good thing with art is that you can think up any shape or size you want

That sucks. Hope you're coping well.
No rush for art, upload whenever you're ready!

Really like the stars with the sparkle effect. Might be worth making the background smaller stars slightly sharper though.
Oh and I love the colours!

You've nailed the shape. Great job.

Some of those realistic creations are fantastic, and I'm trying to figure out how you created some of them. Great job!

Awesome photo manipulations I love the way you've made the seagulls standout on an otherwise dark background.
