  1. this is what i got by using Effects/Photo/Basic Adjustment, then Effects/Photo/Sharpen
  2. instead of the line tool use the Render-Polygone/Stars tool set to three Verticies and whatever size you need--this only works for an Isosceles triangle
  3. i find the fixed ratio even more handy than the fixed size
  4. ahhhh thats half the fun.. seeing how each person interprets the subject... so yes to both, or maybe no, or...
  5. if i undestand you, you want to be able to specify a fixed size for a rectangle selection, correct? not a hard thing at all.. once you select the rectangle selection tool, your toolbar just above the PDN window will have three choices. on the left will be TOOL , next will be SELECTION MODE , next up will be the word NORMAL. Click on the drop menu arrow next to the word NORMAL and choose FIXED SIZE. This will open additional options, for height, width, and the type of messurment you prefer
  6. grrr i have no answer for you, cat jumped on keyboard and all i can do is edit what she left
  7. cool looks like where they got both the volleyball and the american football
  8. look up graphics for both soccer and volleyball on google, see which one that looks like.. maybe it was "back in the day" and thats cool, but today thats a volleyball soccer balls have pentagon sections nowadays
  9. remember to put each piece on a seperate layer- once you have an object like the vollyball put in place on its own layer, duplicating that layer then flipping it horizontaly, will put the same ball mirrored on the other side of the graphic providing that you have the graphic centered plug-ins that might help circle text- http://forums.getpai...6643-dpys-pack/ outline object- http://forums.getpai...?showtopic=7291 outline selection- http://forums.getpai...?showtopic=9870 Align object and/or object alighn http://forums.getpai...ted-2010-10-26/ / http://forums.getpai...dated-06172007/ as for why a soccer badge has a volleyball graphic.. you will have to figure that one out on your own
  10. google gorillaz, use image search.. find a pic with a guy/guys you like. copy it, paste it into a PDN work, remove the background and other bloody potato you dont want...
  11. put the background color on one layer, put your logo on another, adjust the oppacity of the logo layer( double click the layer in the layer window and settings for that layer will appear on screen)
  12. there is a problem with your reasoning-- absolutly nothing on your screen is perfectly curved, its all made of pixels which are square. the smallest elipse selection would be one pixel, which would make the selection square. as you expand this selection it gains the appearance of being rounded, but in reality that is a trick of the eyes. it still expands in square steps, as you add more pixels
  13. I like it. for some reason,- im not real big on abstracts..but this ones cool
  14. i understand what you mean about the tie-straps but that will be something for another project, i refuse to replace 7 layers of 32 frames as for the links, they are all beveled, used the smae method for creating each, but i did rotate them into place before beveling so it doesnt show up as much on some as it does on others, but it was the only way to keep the highlights where they should be
  15. well, there are several options-- the rectangle select allows you to select, well a rectangle.. or a square area, the elipse select, alows you to select cicles and ovals, the lasso tool allows you to select an area by traceing it out freehand, then there is the magic wand, which will select an area by colour- this has a tolerance bar that can be adjusted to get just the exact color you want or any colour close, etc, it can also be set to flood- just the imediate area, or global, all of that colour on the page........ all of the select options can be set to replace(defualt) additive, subtract, intersect and invert for even greater options--they all are found in the tool window, with adjustments in the toolbar at the top of the PND work windo
  16. as a side idea, save each frame as an individual gif and use Unfeez to animate-- Unfreez is a free animated gif program and i use it quite a bit since i cant seem to get the whole.agif thing to work propperly.. since each .gif image has a basic white background- problem solved
  17. thanks, means a lot to me dropshadow huh? i used a bit to give more depth, but that was omnidirectional. you mean to go with the highlights light being on the upper left so the dropshadow.. hmm anyway, its a learning process
  18. http://new.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ not a part of PDN but there you go
  19. love the effect.. like welsh, i never used the colour aberation before.. imagine this opal combined with barbieqs jewle tut
