  1. you HAVE to choose a different font.. Ariel Black may not be the most commonly used font in the world but its right up there. i understand you dont want a font thats too far out of line, as you want this to look respectable, but there are a number of good solid fonts that would look great
  2. as for the foreground - ON A NEW PICTURE put blotches of white where you want them.. or randomly- run guas blur at a about 15, add a layer fill with the blue-set to overlay-- Flatten (not merge down) run grim colour reaper with tolerance set to 6.27- run gaus blur again- COPY the pic and paste it on a layer above the render on the first pic
  3. this is what i came up with on a quick work up- the most iportant part for the look is the cloud plugin on layer 3 - note this is not the render/cloud effect that comes standard, its a plugin link is at the bottom layer one- clouds scale 154, rough .70 layer 2 random shape fill, repeated 5 times seamless texture maker at defualt brightness/ contrast, bright -73,con 100 layer 3 clouds plugin, run cloud PLUGIN again but hit reseed button layer 4 filled with a blueish and set blend mode of layer to overlay http://forums.getpai...?showuser=45545 http://forums.getpai...?showuser=46838 http://forums.getpai...?showuser=45895
  4. a good example of layers is from the movie IronMan- assuming youve seen it of coure... when he is in the cave still a prisoner, he designs the first iron battle suit, but he designs it on several different pieces of paper- you cant see the full plans for the battle suit until you lay them on top of each other and hold them down, so you can see all the pieces at once..working with layers is the same,,each of those pieces of paper is a Layer and it takes all the layers to see the full picture, but yuou can modify each layer without having to modify the picture as a whole

  6. you could try with a lower oppacity on your primary color -- adjust to taste or make multiple passes to get where you need
  7. dont be thanking me, tis mr. harvey who wrote them.. i just use em
  8. all the above mentioned plugins are great, but then i thought about which one i used the most Align Object absolutely the most used plugin by yours truely, quiet, unassuming, ignored lil ole align object
  9. or you could install the "color tint" plugin and run it setting the slider to green or the color filter plugin.. both found here--- https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/18811-ed-harvey-effects-v-40-2012-02-13/ these will tint the entire selection the color(has no effect on black or white)
  10. can you post the poster that you want to add the effect to? it wiould make it a lot easier as without it i dont know what "blue color your trying for you might try using a single color to transparent gradient on a seperate layer adding lighter colored sigle colr to tarnspoaernt c=gradient on a third- make it smaller than the first, then merging those down before setting tooverlay, then flattening.. remember once you set a layer to "overlay" you will need to use the flatten option, not the merge down as mergingit will add the layers properties to lower layersonce you add the gradient to you liking, go to the orriginal pic, select outside the object you want the "glow" on, go back to the glow layer and delete.. this will remove any of the gradient from just hanging in the air just a quick workup.. the glow isnt as detailed.. but then there is no "blue"
  11. http://www.dotpdn.com/files/Paint.NET.3.5.10.Install.zip this is the zip file, you have to save it to your computer, then you have to uncompress it , then install it,,, question, are you trying to install the zipped file? if so that wont work
  12. http://www.dotpdn.com/files/Paint.NET.3.5.10.Install.zip <there isthe direct zip file link, no thought required
  13. yes yellow that was the thread i was remembering..
  14. there IS an answer.. there was a previous thread with a simalar problem may take me awhile to find it... might even be a day or so but ill look
  15. so what your sayingis you need to find either the percentage of the picture made up of dark sand or the ratio of dark to light?
  16. no.. the base towel is fine.. but when i removed the pasted on square to put it on a seperate layer it left a hole that i had to fill using clone stamp-- you will be working with the orriginal picture so you wont have that problem ill get you a new link http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/15595-grim-color-reaper-plugin/
  17. okeydokey put your base towel on the first layer. put the square of embrodry on another layer above that. use the colourpicker tool(the eyedropper) to choose the color of the background of the embroidry square then use the grim color reaper plugin at defaut settings.. finally use the eraser to remove any outline of the embroidry square, merge down or flatten and your done the original towel isnt perfect becausei had to use clone stamp to fill in the area but you can see the result http://forums.getpai...showtopic=15595 <-grim color reaper
  18. as for removing the backgroun.. all white towels with a black banding? shoot your photos on a single colored background.. say red, white is usually recomended because everything is in color.. you want if defferent enough to stand out..to get even lighting try hanging a white sheet in front of the subject and hitting it form behind with a bright light-noglare, no shadows... shoot your pics thru a hole in the sheet once you delete the background, you will probably be left with a small "outline" in the background color.. best way to remove this is to use feather at a low setting and then AA,s assisstant http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/8318-boltbaits-plugin-pack-updated-october-30-2011/ http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/16643-dpys-pack/ take a seperate photo of the new background using the same method then insert into alayer under each towel
  19. yes.. either using the animated gif plugin or using another animated program such as unfreeze.. you make each frame seperately.... using .gif if using unfreeze or .agif/.apng if using the PDN plugin-with the plug in you put each image into a seperate layer in order.. if using another progam use the instrucctions for it
