  1. What Operating System version are you using? (XP, Vista, etc.)
  2. Bevel Selection will add gloss appropriate for certain situations. Bevel Selection
  3. If you mean goes away, as in the file closes, this should not happen unless the first file is new and untouched itself. The original file should still be available as an open tabbed file. Not both visible at once. You can switch between them by clicking the thumbnailed tabs at the top-right of the Paint.NET window.
  4. Could you post some links to images with the kind of effect you want?
  5. Yes. Tools Window http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/CloneStamp.html =============================================================
  6. The Color Picker is used within the area of the canvas. It picks whatever color is on the active work layer at a chosen coordinate. You don't need to use the Color Picker to choose colors from the Colors window. ================================================================= You can have more than one file open in Paint.NET, and switch between them. Ctrl N
  7. Is it theoretically possible to have whatever is loaded into the clipboard as background to the Smudge effect canvas? If so , then a flattened version of the .pdn file could be put in the clipboard and the smudging could be done on an object on a transparent layer with a natural sense of how it fits with the overall image.
  8. You could try increasing the saturation before saving as .jpg.
  9. Magic Wand the background and press Delete. Grim Color Reaper plugin. Alpha Mask. The best choice will depend on the particular image.
  10. Both of the plugin files go here: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects =================================== Align Object will be in the Effects menu. Grim Color Reaper will be in the Effects > Color menu.
  11. When you draw a line using the Line/Curve tool, the length is shown at the bottom in the status bar until the mouse button is released. Draw the line on a transparent layer above your background image.
  12. This can help remove a background around the button. Grim Color Reaper This will help center the image after you expand the canvas. Save as PNG.
  13. Can you post a link to a picture of the leaves that you are referring to?
  14. I don't know of a plugin that would smooth out that kind of irregularity.
  15. Working from a duplicate layer underneath, rotate and position rectangular selections over each black line and some surrounding color. Then copy/paste into a new layer, and reposition. As long as you don't rotate the selection after pasting, the angle is set correctly. Fill in color with Paintbrush. --------------------------------------- Works pretty well for a background like this. http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/7907/screenshot792.png
  16. You could draw over the original using the Line/Curve tool.
  17. Yes. The plugin files are inside a folder named BoltBaitPack. That folder shouldn't be there. Only plugin files, no folders in the Effects folder. ======================================= pyrochild types faster than I do.
  18. This is where you should find Bevel Selection in the Paint.NET menu. ==================================================================== If it's not there, close Paint.NET. Then open the Program Files/Paint.NET/Effects folder, and make a screenshot showing everything inside the folder and the top of the Windows Explorer window, with the full path to the Effects folder showing.
  19. =File%20Folder%20Settings"]Restore Default File Associations This should help, if your file associations for .zip are screwed up. A similar situation.
