  1. If you choose the Custom option when installing, it should let you choose the installation location.
  2. This link deals with the most common problems/solutions re:installation problems.
  3. If you navigate to where the program folder should be, usually: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET -and there's no trace, I guess, try re-installing.
  4. Did you look in the Recycle Bin to see if there is a Paint.NET folder inside?
  5. Using the Stylize > Outline repeatedly can make some interesting patterns.
  6. On the text layer, with the Shift key down. Magic Wand the alpha. Make a new layer, apply Bevel Selection. Make a new layer, invert the selection, apply Bevel Selection, but switch the Highlight color to black, and the Shadow color to white. Press Esc to deselect. Apply True Blur - Radius 1, to both bevel layers. Adjust layer opacity. ================================================ Start with oversized text and resize down as a last step, for a sharper look.
  7. Maybe originally you used Effects > Object > Outline Object?
  8. They didn't give you much to work with. Is there a possibility of the company providing you with a high-resolution transparent version? ======================================================= You could try resizing the current PNG version using Nearest Neighbor resizing to, say, 1904x1088 in pixel dimensions. You'd want to essentially make a new one from scratch using the existing one as a guide.
  9. If you made the PNG by editing the JPEG I wouldn't expect it to look good. I was hoping that you still had the logo as a transparent layer in a PDN file.
  10. I didn't enter either and didn't get even one vote. I feel darkly disrespected. jk
  11. Does that PNG look right on your website?
  12. Save your transparent image as PNG instead of JPEG. JPEG doesn't preserve transparency.
  13. This is using of Bevel Selection on two transparent layers. If this is of interest, I can give more details. http://a.imageshack.us/img96/6307/1e1tatt01.png
  14. Not sure if this is what you want to accomplish. Fill a new layer with red above the grayscale background. In Layer Properties (F4) set the red layer Blend mode to Multiply. That will make the image red, but retain the tonal variations of the grayscale image. It will darken the image somewhat. You can add a middle layer of white and adjust its Opacity in Layer Properties if you want to lighten it up. http://a.imageshack.us/img121/6415/addred01.png
  15. Put your shapes on new layers, then select them. You can move or resize them using the Move Selected Pixels tool.
  16. No, it can't be disabled. Just hit the Enter key when it pops up.
  17. Maybe this will work: Make several mostly transparent templates, like the image on the left. Store them in a special .pdn file that you keep open while working on the other image files. Tab over and copy a layer from the template pdn file, switch back and paste into a new layer above your image for the document. Giving a result like the right half of this picture. http://a.imageshack.us/img217/558/17259840.png Regards, S.S.
  18. You need to merge all layers before running Shape3D.
  19. You might want to try out the Kuwahara Filter Modified plugin also. Stewien Filters (Click on the top link in the first post.)
  20. You can separate parts of the image using the same methods as for cutting out an image.
  21. Press Esc to be sure that no selection is active. Look in the Layers window to be sure that you are working on the correct layer and the layer is visible.
  22. Utilities > Manage Fonts Fonts go in the Windows/Fonts folder.
  23. You could use a new top layer set to Additive. Create a mask, adding clear area (black) with the left mouse button, removing clear area (blocking with white) with the right button. When done create the selection with Magic Wand. Or simply use as an alpha mask if appropriate. This method allows you to switch between mouse buttons to add or subtract.
  24. Replace the word "det" with the word "the". Select everything outside the eyes and then click on first layer in the Layers window.
