  1. You mean a domain? Yes, I guess. I was thinking that his IT staff could put the files on a shared drive making it easier to get to from each of the PCs. Could they write a batch file that would copy the files into the Effect folder for him? I'm not a network person, but on 30 computers, that would certainly be worth a box of muffins. If they have their own servers it would be easy to put a folder with the effects on a shared drive so that they can just copy them to the right folder on the computer. It's so easy a caveman could do it
  2. @ barbie and bijarni thanks i am glad you guys like it @ oma i think i broke the knob on it @ possum i don't think it looks too professional myself lol  @briamoth lol its okay mate thanks for stopping by
  3. i knew when i saw the jupiter texture you had something awesome planned for it mate . Great job also love the satellite
  4. well it would be fairly straight forward to create the buttons. Here is a mini tutorial on how to make the google buttons at a larger size well here is the mini tut for it. step 1: Open paint.net with canvas size of 200 x 50 step 2: select white as your primary color and grey as your secondary step 3: make a linear gradient with the white fading in to grey from the top step 4: on a new layer add your text step 5: add another layer press ctrl+a and then run the outline selection plugin at 1 pixel radius. step 6: flatten and save as png. for the blue one: take the image you created in the first mini tut. The run the color tint plugin and tint it the color you want it to look like on mouse over.
  5. Alpha masking is the way to go. Trace out the object with the line tool and your color as white then fill in the inside of your outline with white and the outside of it with black and there's your alpha mask.
  6. @ barbie i am glad i can make someone laugh lol. Also i guess the highlight could be too eliptical . Thanks for the vote too @sokagirl thanks @ oma yeah i am feeling the pressure now lol i am also thinking about things before i post them like what would oma, sargon(yellowman),goonie, welsh, lance, barbie, and the others say about this and that. I am spending more and more time on every image i do . I hope i can up the standard this year as well. And on that note i unveil the next piece in my line of 3d logotypes and wallpaper series. so sorry i forgot to comment on your latest. I have visited here several times looking at it but forgot to comment . Great image and great composition, it looks very professional, crisp, and has a nice flow to it. It would fit nicely for a company logo.
  8. very nifty has a nice feel too it soka
  9. That would have to be done with coding as you were looking for. You will have to make the individual buttons and save them as pngs then code the page to use them accordingly.
  10. Is this something of the sorts you are looking for? you can easily make one button then replicate it as i have shown of course you could add text and such in there but i am lazy and i am just seeing if this is what you are looking for.
  11. Thanks for the input yellowman you are always spot on with shadows and such Also thank you helen and barbie here is something that i was inspired to make so much 3d art lying around i decided to jump in and see what i can do the name is explained by the picture
  12. very nice image jpenn. Here is a renvisioned piece of work of mine you can view full sized on my deviant art or page 24 of my pdn gallery
  13. Thank you guys for the coments and the critiques Alright seeing as i won rookie of the year for 2009 I decided to do a rework of one of my first serious pieces done in paint.net. I know some of you remember It. Here is the rein-visioning called Space ball revisited I spent a while re-imagining this piece and figuring how i could take it to the next level. I would like to thank all of you who voted for me for the rookie of the year and the forum troll . I am glad that this community is striving and producing more and more great artists and paint.net enthusiasts such as my self. I hope that 2010 can be a great year for all of us. thanks a lot, chad Oh yeah here is a not so new work i forgot to post here but it has been on pdn fans and my da for a while i call it Solaris

  16. nice new piece frontcannon I see that you are getting better and better at abstracts all the time
  17. very good start in pdn. Your image tags are wrong though. You only need to include one set of tags not two

 anything with cyber is usually bad mmmkay.... oh yeah aguba you deserve every bit of praise you get. You do great 3d work.
  19. very nice mate you have some talent
  20. actually he can use a white mask but just uncheck the invert mask lol
  21. It's the only way, unfortunately. Perhaps if some of our esteemed plugin making members were to make a photoshop-like sphereize effect... Actually i don't even use shape 3d on my planets sozo if you take a look at blue resonance on my d.a that planet was made by using simple gradients and a texture made in pdn. The method i use bypasses shape 3d. I make an alpha mask of the shape of the planet then i alpha mask a texture layer then alpha mask a layer of white and a layer of black then i use a transparent radial gradient to make it look like this below that only took about 5 minutes to slap that together. You can make things look 3d without shape 3d
