  1. Most of the advanced stuff in paint.net is not possible without plugins. But this tut here uses built in effects Sharp's glass ball tut
  2. that about sums it up. You should quit complaining and be smart and set a restore point you can restore to instead of letting windows do it for you. If you wait for windows to set your restore points for you, then you deserve to have to go hunting for drivers. Paint.net sets a restore point as a failsafe so that you can restore your system if paint.net somehow messes it up. Also if you have windows seven how bout you be smart and create a windows 7 repair disc. Also insulting the intelligence of the programmer of paint.net is not a good idea. Paint.net is a great program. Where is your program that you have coded if you are so much smarter than rick? I would honestly like to see this program so i can scoff at it. good day to you sir, chad
  3. thanks I actully thought that I had made the background transparent, but it didn't turn out that way gotta save the file as png not jpg. Jpg doesn't support transparency, Png on the other hand does.

  10. The following requires the alpha mask import by illnab. Take that image copy it to your clipboard now open the image you want to mask. then open the alpha mask import plugin. make sure invert mask, mix alpha, and paste clipboard are checkmarked and press ok and boom your image is masked. edited: to make it easier.
  11. The first one is great very nice flow. Second one has too many colors in it for my liking, but moreover it is still good. Maybe try an abstract with a set number of colors say like maybe 3?
  12. very good. I like how you are experimenting and finding cool things. Your latest images are getting better and better . Keep up the great work.

  14. there is a file type plug in for this like rick said. you can find it Here. Follow the instructions in the thread and you will be able to make you own icons . One alternative would be to use this free website that allows you to convert images into icons Convert icon.com

  21. I have to say that is one of the greatest images i have ever seen done with paint.net. Actually i am going to have to say that is the absolute greatest image made in paint.net to date. It is just astounding how much work and detail you put into the image. I can see that you worked hard and put in your heart and soul into this piece. It is just so amazing and inspiring to see such a detailed and awesome picture done in paint.net. What a great way to start end the year and begin a new one. sincerely, chad
  22. You would be looking for the clone stamp tool. :CloneStamp: the icon looks like that on the tool box in paint.net. To anchor a point where you want to copy you press ctrl+left mouse button click. Then you can make an area similar to the anchor point. This also works across layers. It is also possible they were using the smudge tool in photoshop but i wouldn't know unless i saw the video for myself.
  23. Here is my first image of 2010 i decided to make a new logo for myself. What do you guys think?
