Goonie, I think your space scene looks good except for one minor detail. The collision looks white washed. Maybe tone it down a bit. I gotta agree with LFC that the splatter looks too straight. *winces at LFC's words* He may be right. Don't give up, keep working on it. I didn't say you, welshblue. I was merely saying that chrome would be a bit too much for this particular type of work. Did you check the reference link on the 1st page? A lot of the crests I looked at didn't have that kind of fancy chrome.

@Welshblue, Helen, and Goonie - Thanks for your comments, but I am going to have to disagree with y'all about the chrome. To me, that's overkill and the coat of arms is supposed to be flat and not as elaborate as you may picture it in your mind.

Hey Ouchy, I don't think I had ever posted a comment in your gallery. It seem you are heavily geared toward making sigs, so I think you are doing pretty good. Perhaps adding a few "dreamy" touch here and there would make a WOW effect.

After the fourth look, a :idea: lit up in my mind. Have you ever tried to make a shockwave across the surface? That would make an impact.

You're welcome. Your Fire text is getting better. As for the Ice text, make it look like it's appearing to be freezing, and then you'll pull it off. I don't use radial blur myself cuz it takes so long to render, even on a 800x600 image, and maybe defrag"ing" your hard drive will make the render more fast.

I like your current sig. I noticed you said you had a little trouble positioning the girl in your sig. I think that the "Rule of Thirds" would be extremely helpful. As for the flame piece, I have to agree with another user when it was suggested to tone down the text. It didn't looked like it was on flame. Just my two cents.

Oma, my wife actually saw something. I did too when I stood up and peered at the monitor from a right angle. It was purely unintentional. :shock: Like I have said, I have a WIP. Oma, I thought that your roses or tulips looked stain glassed to me too. Perhaps if you made light shining through the petals, I'm sure you would make a :shock: effect.

Just out of curiousity....do you have the Basic Antialias plugin? I think it might help clear up the jagged edge before running the feather on it.

I'm having trouble seeing your image. *looks at your sig* It seem there's a lot of British in here, and a lot of passionate football fan (soccer, in American that is!). While I'm an American, I am somewhat partial to...Manchester United :twisted: Edit: Nevermind. I was able to see your image. For some reason your gemstone looks somewhat flat. Just IMO.

The moon was actually a planet rendered in PDN. I travel on these almost every day and if I saw one like yours I think the van would be in reverse a.s.a.p - that's a pretty cool, spooky effect 8) Also a nice job on the castle photo manip, it ties in perfectly IMO LOL. My wife took a look at my castle and hyper landscape and said that she could had swore she saw a person in the fractal brushes. She said if you looked at the monitor from the right side angle you could almost make the person out. Really creepy.
