  1. That is just so Smurfy. I haven't seen the Smurfs in a loooooong time. Just a quick suggestion, perhaps fixing the bottom portion of the frame where it's jagged, and you'll get it.
  2. I'll keep that in mind when I rework the art. I searched all over the PS tuts for a realistic sword, and they look like [expletive]. I might download a brush pack from DA that contain a sword, and trace over it. We'll see. I agree with you on the sword. Maybe I'll make it a bit broad too. Listening to daft punk, eh? I'm more a Classical music guy.
  3. Outstanding job following a ps tut and converting them to PDN. Here, have some of these on me: This will get your energy level back up, I know you were nearing a crash cuz your brain was working overtime trying to keep up with your slow 'puter.
  4. I believe this question is better directed in the General Discussion. But, I'll help you out. If you want to have a direct link from an image hosting site such as Photobucket or Image Shack, look for "Direct Link" near your desired image, copy the link address, and paste it between the IMG tag. It would look like this: . I hope this help.
  5. You're welcome. I enjoy this gallery very much.
  6. Added a new artwork, Wings & Sword, but I am not entirely satisfied with it. The sword looks like bloody potato, and the wings could be better. Any suggestions?
  7. Thanks Helen. I plan to try a wine bottle with transparency and color, like an actual wine bottle. I will also redo the current wine bottle to fix it per Goonie, oma, and welshblue's suggestion. Stay tuned for updates....I'm typing this out on a Blackberry.
  8. Oma, I know what you mean about the computers. I took two semester of electronic courses, and it blew my mind away that nearly a 100 years ago, the men were merely experimenting with theories that laid the groundwork for the electronics to spring up from. It seem WW1 and WW2 caused a great explosion in knowledge growth. It makes my head spin. @Minoeman: great job with your gallery. Keep it up.
  9. I have never thought myself as a natural artist. Thank you for your comment. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the tip. Thanks Oma. The label was actually several different renders over a cloud layer in a new image. Once I was satisfied, I simply changed the layer blending options. Thanks man.
  10. If I had a nickel for every time I heard that... Edit: that was a dumb joke. I actually wear a white lab coat all day on the job.
  11. No problem at all, LFC. BTW, I told Goonfella that I am partial to Manchester United.
  12. I think I might need to redo the whole bottle. I just wanted to put it up. The perspective seem off? What if it was at an eye level instead of from the bottom? I tried to run a wet floor reflection on it, but for some reason the plugin wouldn't generate the reflection. I wonder if that's what throwing off the perspective. What's your thought, Goonie?
  13. I kind of figured it was a stock. I actually put my eyeballs near the monitor and could detect some cutting. It looks great.
  14. A couple of thoughts about your web design mockup. 1) The slogan under your title is somewhat difficult to read. I figuratively and literally had to put my nose inches away from the monitor to read it. Suggestion: add a drop shadow to make it pop a bit. 2) You were asking about what to add on the right side of the banner. Suggestion: Maybe you could add a RSS icon, an Apple-style search box, or a log in box. Overall, I think your mockup have a very professional feel for it. Keep it up. I would like to see the finish product.
  15. Glad to help out a fellow PDNer. I will check out what you suggested: a search of the da for ps brushes. Although I do find the interface for the custom brushes to be annoying at times.
  16. You made it all yourself? Or was it a stock that you fiddled around with?
  17. Observation is usually my strong suit. That comes with being deaf, and I have learned how to observe things.
  18. Take a look at my sig. I appreciate your comment/feedback.
  19. *stratches head* Ask you twice? Do you mean, "You don't have to ask me twice?" Or did I misread something here. I looked at the teddy bear again, and it looks much better. More friendly and the balloon, as I can see, is a copy of your glossy heart pictures. Nice job!
  20. I have some custom brush on my computer with cloud brushes. I got it from this site. It is also where I got the abstract/fractal brushes for my sig.
  21. Surv, you speaking to me? Thanks dude, I appreciate it.
  22. Yeah, it's tough to do PS tuts when we don't have blending options like they do. The only way around it is to make a new layer and try to duplicate the blending options. Your picture are getting better.
  23. Teddy bear is a cutie, but, er, she could use some company. Maybe a box of chocolate to make her even more cheerful.
  24. It looks like he used a stock picture. That's my guess. I got to agree with logan. Your work is incredible. The moon with rings and the graphic work surrounding it looks incredible. I also love the binary you used on the bottom of the picture, very organic and authentic image.
