  1. I recently installed the Gen Tree plug in and it works fine but I am not sure what the box at the bottom next to `Preview' is for. Thanks
  2. Jizer`s right - there`s some great stuff here. I particularly like your tree work. It looks so realistic.
  3. Great tut , its just what I need. I`ll be giving this a go! Thanks. Here`s mine.
  4. This is my best effort so far. Lots to improve on that`s for sure!
  5. Please do! I have tried a few times to make one of these but this particular glass effect still eludes me. That`s an excellent first go!
  6. Thanks . I guess I`ll just have to hang on a bit then, or get so good with PDN that I can do one myself! Thanks for the tip anyway.
  7. I have searched through the tutorials a number of times but I have never come across one about making clear glass objects. There are glassy buttons, glassy orbs, glassy marbles but no plain clear glass tuts. I don`t suppose anyone would care to make one please? I know it would be another glass tut but as it would be for something not yet covered it might be a handy addition to the tut menu. I have often tried to make glass myself, but never been able to work it out. Maybe it is just a case of adapting an existing tut in a way I have not thought of yet. Either way a tut would be much appreciated. Thanks very much.
  8. Heck your`re making me blush! Praise indeed . Thanks a lot.
  9. I think that sunset in realistic images is stunning! I can see why you chose it for your sig. There`s some really good stuff there. Better than me by miles. Well done.
  10. New pic on page one - `Lost' I have named this one `Lost' . After all , anyone could get lost in that fog! @Helen - added the boat you suggested. Hope you like it. There is no shadow because I felt that it was too small to need it and also there is no sun anyway. @jedi12 - You can see how I`ve darkened the water like you suggested. I think it makes a big difference. Still no animals though.
  11. I`ve done as you suggested and darkened the water a touch and it definitely looks better. Thanks for the tip. As far as adding a boat or an animal - I have had a go but until I can do the picture justice I think I will leave it for a bit. My efforts at these were not very good and would only spoil things. Thanks for the ideas though. I rather fancy having Nessie in the pic eventually!
  12. My latest project - I added the grass at the bottom using TreeGen that I have just installed but it still needs something else. I can`t decide what though. It would have to suit the `misty' theme of the picture obviously. Any ideas anyone? It really is a `mistery' to me!
  13. Great tut. I only downloaded unFreeze yesterday so I`ll be giving this a go. Thanks.
  14. Thanks . If you think its that good I might just stick it in my gallery (I try to just put the best efforts in there instead of posting every picture).
  15. I think the first three are the best. There`s some nice sigs here.
  16. I have had my first go at image modification. I thought the most interesting way to get started was to try a bit of `antiquing'. Below is the original, full colour image and the end product.I struggled a bit with the border so just left it `torn out' instead. Any advice or pointers as to how I could improve welcome.
  17. I just needed some help with the plug in. I`ve seen how Custom Brushes can make a difference and would like to know why this has happened. I have tried installing it twice - with the same result each time.
  18. I just installed custom brushes and as soon as I clicked on the symbols tab it made PDN crash.I was not even using it - just looking around. I`ve been reading about where to send the crash log but got all confused so I posted it here. I hope you don`t mind.Do you want me to send it to the address in the log as well? This text file was created because Paint.NET crashed. Please e-mail this file to crashlog@getpaint.net so we can diagnose and fix the problem. 19. Mine only goes up to 50-55%. I think it must depend on the specs of your PC.
  20. Nice tut. This is the first time I`ve used Equations for anything.I always wondered what it could be used for. I decided to add a bit of colour to the sound wave . After the image was flattened I added a new layer, chose a colour, secondary colour Alpha - 0 followed by a linear gradient. After choosing a blending mode I flattened and repeated the process with a different colour. This one is going in my gallery.
  21. New Sig and Picture Just Added!(first page) The latest sig from me is the first attempt at the LJXD Style sig. Took ages to get right! Any I ideas how I could have made it better would be appreciated. The picture is my first use of the Equations plug-in.
  22. I`ve finally finished my first `long sig'. Took a few goes to get right and one of the things I have learned is - Keep saving! A few times I messed up and had to go back to an earlier stage. One of the things I did to help with drawing the design was to put a grid on the background. This made getting the curves right so much easier . Just delete when your done. I`m calling this my Horny Sig!
  23. Well thank you very much. Maybe I should more `practice' pictures!
