  1. Nice sig but how about a matching av? I like the photo manip and the shiny marble. Nice
  2. You can eat it if you want but it won`t taste very nice! Thanks for the compliment. @ Helen , just for you - Le Red Crunch and Le Golden Delicious! Unfortunately I havn`t perfected the water drops on these yet. I can`t seem to get a realistic looking shape or feel and I don`t want to spoil what I think is one of my best efforts.
  3. Getting away from stained glass for a while, here is something I made while just doodling. I think it`s rather nice.
  4. I know this is not strictly about the Custom Brushes plug in but as the thread about the ABRViewer has been locked I thought it might be OK to post here.Apologies if I was wrong. It`s just to say that I have finally managed to download the program but not from any of the links supplied in the `Converting PS Brushes' thread because the Sourceforge downloads just would not work. Instead I had to Google the program and download it from here - http://www.downloadsource.net/7072/ABR-Viewer/ I don`t know if anyone else is having problems but the download from this website worked fine. I hope this helps if needed .
  5. PDN won`t play animations but you can make them by creating a number of GIF images and using a program like UnFreez which will animate them. http://www.whitsoftdev.com/unfreez/ Have Fun.
  6. I second that. I think they are superb. There`s some really nice stuff here.

    Ash

I think this is awsome!! I just wish I could make glass half as good as you Ash.
  8. Don`t tempt me! Your right though. It does take a bit of time and a great deal of it is very repetitive- magic wand>colour>blend, magic wand>colour>blend, magic wand>colour>blend. But I enjoy the challenge of choosing a colour that is going to look as realistic as poss and is going to blend in with the rest of the image. Still aint finished yet!
  9. I got it from here - viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2973 Don`t use the links at the top of the page though. Scroll down to the bottom and the downloadable zip file should be there.I think it`s a really handy plug in. @ GeminiS - I used your idea in the end for the glass, clouds>dents. Thanks. You can see how I got on in my gallery (P7).
  10. I`ve been having a few goes at stained glass windows recently. This is my first try. Only the frame is stock. Its a blank one I found searching Google Images. Its not quite finished as I need to find a suitable picture to put in the middle. There are white bits all over the place on the frame but that`s easily sorted. I think it even adds something to the image, a used look maybe? It gives the impression that it`s old. Maybe I`m wrong , that`s just what I think. Hope you like it so far.Any advice would be appreciated.
  11. That`s what I thought but the effect is slightly different. I think clouds>dents>heightmap is the nearest I`ll get to what I`m after though. Thanks.
  12. Yes I`ve just been hunting through the plug ins and noticed that. Thanks anyway. I found the Heightfield plug in. It never came up using the search box so I just looked for it myself page by page.I`ll try it out when I`ve got more time. Thanks for all your help. Sorry to be a pain( ) but what about the Sponge Filter? It gives this effect- This was used just before the Plastic Wrap in the citrus tut.
  13. Thanks Worldnewser. It seems like the same tut I was attempting. I`ll have a look for that Heightfield to Normal plug in. As for the stained glass, I have the frosted glass plug in and have tried using it without success -so far. Maybe I just need to keep playing with the settings until I get what I want. Didn`t know there were two versions though. Thanks for the tips.
  14. I have been trying out a few PS tuts recently but I sometimes get stuck as to which PDN effect to use to achieve a similar result as in PS. The ones I was wondering about this time was the `Sponge Effect' and the `Plastic Wrap Effect' which are both used to get a nice texture for a citrus fruit slice or even a stained glass window. Anyone have any idea which ones I should use?
  15. Any chance of some pictures to demo it please?
  16. Great light saber. For the planets, try making them a bit smaller ( or the rings larger). They seem a bit out of proportion. Otherwise good stuff.
  17. All I can do is agree with what`s been said already - lovely sparkly tree and - damn I forgot to clean my teeth! Good stuff.
  18. Thanks. @ welshblue- Thought about doing waterdrops ( I`ve done them before on a leaf) but could`nt wait to get the apple posted. I`ll add some later for sure. @ Helen - your making me hungry!
  19. Thanks. Sorry I`ve taken so long to reply. Had things to do . New Image on first page - Le Crunch. My first attempt at a realistic image. I`m quite pleased with it although the `dent' where the stalk goes could be better. I have to admit that I used a Photoshop tutorial for guidance on this one but it is not exactlythe same as I had to make an educated guess at which Photoshop effects = PDN effects. Any tips would be welcome.
  20. I`m using Vista Home Basic SP1 . I`d be interested to know what difference it makes having Vista instead of XP (if any) in the same way that it makes a difference whether you have SP2 or SP3 for XP.
  21. Worked OK for me too, although I did find that the menu on the right got in the way of the tut. It was same in IE and FF.
  22. I love the rings but the planet is too grey. Try adding some colour next time and it would be great.
