  1. LFC, brilliant entry, I'll probably vote for you. Kemaru, LOVE the icons. I tried making some of my own yesterday, it didn't work well. Anyway, what do you think of this? It looks a little flat, to me. Ignore the really demented cog in the top-left area. EDIT: And the really obvious mistakes I just noticed. EDIT: Minor problems fixed.
  2. Just a small update... Hidden Content: I'm proud of these two. Just ignore the deformed cog in the top-left corner. My competition entry. I like this very much. It's part of a kingdom I'm making later on. Hand drawn. My worst piece, it was more of a test of a concept. Not the specific shade of blue in the background - it matches PERFECTLY with the BSOD. Some skins I made for a game called Minecraft. A kind of vial, filled withsome sort of energy, kind of like a soul? This went really, really wrong. My next project is an isometric pixel rendition of my school. Trust me, it's nicer than you'd think. Of course, taking on such big projects means that my updates will be infrequent, but I'll make some filler work too. Anyway, with that little surprise, I bid you good day!
  3. Well, make a building, win, and make that comp 2s theme. Or, we could have a public vote for the themes, since I have another prize in mind...
  4. Oops, missed out both those key points... Editing.
  5. Working on it now, will be typos because my keyboard's playing up.
  6. I'd be glad to run it... well, I wouldn't be able to enter, but I really would enjoy holding it. Maybe as a substitute, for when you can't?
  7. I wonder... viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22521 Try the plugin called displacement... I can't offer results, I'm afraid. But with practice, I think this could work...
  8. So you use Celestia as well? It is a wonderful piece of equipment, isn't it. As for the textures, we have some people here who are absolute geniuses when it comes to planet texture. I would advise asking people such as flip, Sharp and as well this could help: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=27083 Although that is mainly on creating a textureless, 2D image, not a texture.
  9. I know, I wish he'd hurry up and finish it, I really liked it.
  10. Nice to see that the pixel art scene is warming up - it's my favourite style.
  11. Nice. I can't say I've been a fan of video tutorials before, but of the art which they concern, I am. Nice work!
  12. Thanks, especially about the chessboard - who was it who nominated it for the galleria, by the way? And also, sorry to disappoint but, well, I think it's permanently gone.
  13. From someone as renowned as you, that's quite the compliment. Thank you very much. But, as the title says, this does not mean I will be creating again. I made this because I had to; I no longer have any creativity. Just as writer's block can cripple an author's career forever in severe cases, artist's block has done the same to me. For now.
  14. About 45 minutes, but as you can see, it's very basic. But then, it's my first try at this sort of stuff.
  15. Just something I had to make for my mum. This was requested project, though, so I'm afraid this doesn't mean that I'm back. Sorry. WARNING: Big image. Hidden Content:
  16. Wow, you have a wonderful sense of style! These were all very witty and/or beautiful. You use wonderful pallets, providing a style perfectly balanced between minimalistic and ... um... something like just plain brilliant.
  17. Not to beat a dead bush, but perhaps it could be saved as a separate .xml file or something? Like Shape3d uses.
  18. PM'd to CMD Why? If you want to find the site it was on, google HTML Glow Tags, and it's somewhere there.
  19. Or, if you want actual in-post text to glow, use this tag. NOTE: This will not work on forums, as it is HTML. Or, if you want actual in-post text to glow, use this tag:
  20. Actually, I think he might be wanting something along these lines: 1. Make your selection. 2. Erase it. 3. Create a new layer. 4. Move it don. 5. Paste your image and move it until it is in the hole.
  21. Very good tutorial, it gives a nice effect, and is also helpful for newbies, as it teaches them about blend modes, adjustments, et cetera.
  22. You can - the borders depend on the brush width you have set in Paint.NET.quote] Yes, but it can be slightly annoying to run the plugin, turn borders on, realise your brush width is wrong, close the plugin, possibly change tool, change brush width, run plugin.
  23. Right, first of all, sorry, but I have absolutely no idea at all what I might have done to make this happen. Second of all, I'm running Windows Vista on a laptop and tablet. I was just making an image, and went to click the select tool, and the window glitches. Not much more I can say, sorry.
  24. Yeah, well, I hate waffles, so I don't see them much.
